I've been looking for a replacement for the Q headshot I normally use in my OC Wiki and I finally got one =]
Q has always been darker skinned, but I never corrected many artists, so a lot of his art is really pale. Some years ago I started to try and get it tanner, but the ship had mostly sailed. I don't get much art of Q anymore, but when I do I've now made a concerted effort to get the skintone right.
It's a little difficult since most of my refs are pale. Giving refs and then saying "Tanned skin, tanner than the refs" seems to confuse a lot of artists. I guess that's partly my fault. Anyway, I have an actual skin tone palette I can give artists in the future now, so hopefully this problem will be a thing of the past.
