A basic overview of the Gekkomi species, this is actually just one of many planned infographs for them and other lore and worldbuilding, featuring Professor Odessa~!
- They are omnivorous, with diets varying greatly from individual to individual, and the area and culture they are born and raised in. They are also, surprisingly, able to eat and digest raw meat with little risk of illness, though most nowadays do prefer the taste of cooked and seasoned meat and fish but again this is also dependent on a Gekkomi's personal preference.
- They are sentient and sapient, meaning they can and do speak and write as humans do, though there's also still the odd Gekkomi that prefer or were born into a more wild lifestyle too
- They can vary greatly in terms of size and shape, as can their physical features, and regardless of gender.
- Some are able to use and perform magic, either as inherited abilities or through rigorous study.
- Being reptiles, Gekkomi are born from eggs, with usually one to two eggs laid per clutch. More eggs in a clutch is considered a huge blessing.
- Being reptiles, and therefore cold-blooded, they usually do better in warmer climates, though those that live in colder areas have been known to find ways around this (such as with thick winter clothes) and some that are born/are able to grow hair or bits of fur also have an advantage with added insulation.
Gekkomis are an OPEN species. Feel free to make your own as personal characters or even adopts~! There's even a bunch of free bases to choose from~!

To Answer:
- They Are NOT strictly SFW at all! I even have a few NSFW art of my own Gekkomis here (along with some resources, including linearts and a Picrew linked in one of the descriptions! https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....ekkomi-related )
- You're free to have as much fun with fur/hair on their bodies as you want!
- They can ALSO have horns! Spikes too, wings, etc! The only 'requirement' is the Basic traits above, otherwise you can addon and customize as much as you want beyond that!
