Just more sprite art practice, this time I decided to try doing portraits similar to in-game icons of characters. So I decided to use the leader of my Lantansheare gnomes as test bed idea to work with, for the reference I looked at photos of Kaiser Wilhelm the 2nd to get a royal dignified pose. Even though this was done to see if I could do it, I plan to make other leader portraits based on my fantasy nations. Might do an orc high king next and use visual reference of Erik the Red, as they are more organized like the norsemen the way I have written and goblin leader portraits likely homages to dune as the faction I have designed is like an interesting parody of them, if people are interested I will post a link to my writing in the description :)
