His own comments on the picture as follows
"Reese Tora has a cat character whom I'd drawn before and somehow I'd gotten the mental impression that the character was inspired by Daniel Striped Tiger from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. So I was a little surprised when he showed me some reference material for the character and asked for it to be drawn in full sword-fighting style. Well, no problem! :)"

Well, still sort of right, since the original inspiration for the character is a combination of the plush in my avatar and the khajit character I had in Morrowind.
