Sister Project Activate, also referred to as Sister Activate or simply The Sister, first met Terror Mike on the grounds of his college campus, although she was not a student there. Instead, she had become known to the surrounding community for her acts of civil disobedience in front of numerous public venues, shouting inflammatory statements about institutional bias against rats and other marginalized species into her now famous megaphone. She is said to be responsible for inciting multiple incidents in the surrounding area and has been arrested on multiple occasions. During one particularly violent clash with counter-protesters, she was doused with an unknown but heavily acidic substance, leaving her left paw and portions of her tail severely scarred. It's said that the damage would not have been as severe had she sought medical attention, instead choosing to continue her demonstration despite the pain. Intrigued by her boldness and involvement in social issues, Terror Mike introduced himself during one of her demonstrations on his campus, where it was revealed that she had some experience as a DJ, thanks to sneaking into the campus of a friend to use the equipment. To this day, the group's lead describes The Sister as the 'soul' of Apocalypse-86, adding that while he always intended to rap about the societal struggles of his kind, the outspoken, civil discourse of Sister Project Activate greatly inspired the group's overall tone as a musical act.

Sister Activate is known for her distictive look on stage, regularly wearing a baseball cap which obscures most of her face, paired with a cloth worn underneath the cap which covers the back of her neck. Early on she created this look herself, using a shred of an old shirt worn beneath the hat before having the entire headwear custom made as one piece. She is regularly seen wearing a tank top or t-shirt, occasionally underneath the light jacket or hoodie. Other notable features include the single, fingerless glove she wears on stage and the wrappings on her tail, presumably to cover her scars. She is also frequently seen wearing a pair of broken wrist cuffs, an apparent reference to her history with law enforcement. She maintains an enigmatic presence while performing either on stage or in videos. Her unique way of record scratching, wherein she uses her thumb instead of her palms or fingers, inspired the sideways-thumb 'equality' symbol regularly displayed by members of Apocalypse 86.

The Sister is also known for her possession of the Flamethrower, the name given to her trademark megaphone. She is known to speak through it on stage to address the audience of a current or regional controversey they should be made aware of. The device can frequently be seen strapped to her back or elsewhere on her person. The Flamethrower is occasionally loaned out to one of her two bandmates either in music videos or on stage. Although the Sister rarely raps on the tracks herself, many of the group's songs include samples of her speeches through the Flamethrower. Later versions of the device modified the standard siren sound associated with most megaphones to simulate the sound of an air raid siren. She is known to sound this alarm in the opening moments of a live show, before the band takes the stage.

The personal life of Sister Project Activate is largely unknown. Details of her upbringing and education are hazy at best.
