Hutton is a saw-whet owl - they are so tiny and cute they look like stuffed toys and not birds, it's crazy. Hutton is a non-releasable bird who makes his home at Mountsberg Raptor Centre near Toronto, ON.

Awww wow! He's Adorable! I remember back at primary school we had a choice to earth have the small owl like Hutton, but i went for the BIG eagle own instead, lol.
since then i'v had the odd Barn owl and Falcon on my arm...I'd love a have a raven but 1. Illegal and 2/3 I'm just as happy with them in the sky in the woods where i live and would have no time to keep them company.

Oh, wow! The journal and all the photos were a bit of a trip - I visited Mountsberg once a few years back when a friend was volunteering there and got a behind the scenes tour. I think I saw a few familiar bird faces in those photos! I don't think Hutton was where when I visited, though...he/she is utterly adorable!
Saw-Whet's are full of win. You want to cuddle them until they get all pissy like pocket sized devils.
The little owls were always my favorite to work with when I volunteered at my local raptor rescue. They've got so much spunk. ^^
Working with owls is such a wonderful experience, and it looks like you've enjoyed it.
