Some of you may already have seen it on Twitter. Time to post it over here I suppose.
It simply just happened… to combine my ability for crafts and miniatures with drawing fattened up characters. This here's Stitch, if he had gotten much bigger in that famous episode. The model is about 3 inches tall, hand painted with acrylics. Decided to do a proof of concept of things to come and I quite like how it turned out. What do you think?
There's still a lot to be done and refined. Going to try my hand at doing a couple figures with more detailed bodies. Trying to practice my digital sculpting. Thinking in offering them in the future, if anyone's interested. Since i'm basically at a prototyping stage, i can't define a price yet, but once I get a better hang of it, I'll lay out some estimates.
Enjoy!

Thank you! I modelled it in Maya, but plan to detail and sculpt it in Mudbox. What filament are you using? In this case I used s PLA. Since it's a bit complicated to sand the bare print, I got sandable primer from Home Depot. It comes in a can, like spray paint. You can give it a couple of light coats, let it dry and then wet sand it. Hope that helps!
Glad to hear it!!! Right now i'm finishing a series of commissions, and once I'm done will probably be able to take a couple of comms for this 3d prints. Bear in mind taht this was just the prototype. I'll upload some pictures in a couple of weeks of the finished piece and I'll be sure to link them to it!
