Well since I made him up, and his speicies, he is a dog of somekind. Probably looks like a fox because of the tip on his tail.

And yes... the background is totally amazing. After posting the last comment, I took a second closer look at it and I then noticed the fact that you even went into such stunning detail to put the reflection even in the water.

So, yes... I totally and completely agree with you... this is one of your best pieces. I'm sure a lot of time went into the sheer detail and beauty of this work, but it's totally and unequivocally "OMG WOW!"

*Smiles innocently as I find I have a moment before sneaking off* Indeed, it's a good bit of work...but I especially like how he seems to have a faint 'glow' where the light touches his body-as if his fur becomes luminous in the moon and starlight.

*Chuckles* Wonderfully done-and I daresay I'd love that as a wallpaper. Heheheh...if only for the setting and appearance.

His expression is awesome; looks wistful and yet kinda content.
The luminosity, where his fur glows slightly, is beautiful.

I think some think he's a fox because of the ears, tail, and somewhat the feet. I personally like this piece very pretty in the details. Thats the kind of thing I would do at night gaze at the star's. Would for sure be company to just sitting if he didnt mind that is ^.=.^

Yeah.. they ended up not looking as rounded as before after I had inked it.. I didnt notice it though until after I had finished.. ah well. Im just so used to drawing foxes.

I like your choice of markings. The full black muzzle ala German Sheppard, the "fox socks," the stripes similar to the African dogs, all blend very well! Also, YAY! long hair and yellow eyes!

So they are...I was actually going to put "Striped Hyena" there, but a couple of wires got crossed in my skull and suddenly I was putting Wild Dog down. The worst part is, it made sense when I hit "Send." Oh, well...not the first time, I doubt it'll be the last ^^

Hehe, its ok. Yeah, the stripes were influenced by the striped hyenas.
