After Azazel collapsed into a pile of goo, Chet bent over the pile, crying and saying that he wanted Azazel to come back good and how he wanted to be Azazel's friend. The pile, at first, did nothing, but soon, it started to form into something. It tried it's best to form a functional body and in the end, this was the result. Chet look at him and asked if he remembered and also asked if he was ok. Azazel replied that he sadly did remember everything and that he tried to reform back to his original form but unfortunately, w/o other people's SOULs he can't reform back to his original self. Azazel then asked timidly if Chet had meant what he said. Chet responded simply by hugging Azazel tightly in spite of the goo.

After this, Chet walked Azazel over to his friends and family. They were of apprehensive upon seeing Azazel, who upon seeing them cowered behind Chet, scared to meet the people he'd hurt. Chet stepped in and explained everything to his family and friends and they felt really sorry for him so they chose to accept him. Azazel of course, despite being welcomed, was still really timid and shy but inside he felt an undescribale warmth other than the burning heat of his frustrating DETERMINATION for the first time in 100 years.
From this point on, Azazel would try help w/ Chet's jobs but, unlike Mort who despite being brainwashed was still good at working due his physical stability, Azazel bombed each attempt at working because due to the fact that he was always melting, he would slip, get goo everywhere, and he put off customer/employers a lot more than Mort did. He sleeps in Chet's apartment part alongside Mort in a bunk bed. At night, he melts down completely and reforms in the morning. A lot of times though, he'll rock back and forth while crying and he constantly experiences night terrors where his SOUL is being injected (the experience wasn't exactly painful, it felt more like being violated in way that's even worse than getting raped). Azazel sees Chet like a beacon of light and he tries to make sure that Chet is happy and he sees Mort as a good friend (though he still doubts if any nice vibes sent towards him are genuine).
How Chet feels about him: Chet feels extremely sorry for Azazel. Chet feels responsible for him and makes sure that Azazel lives in an environment full of good vibes and love.

How Mort feels about him: While Mort tolerates Azazel, he is very jealous of him. Mort sees Chet as HIS Master and to see someone else being doted on by Master is a big fat NO NO.

Fun Fact #1: Azazel is immortal. He has to live like this forever.
Fun Fact #2: He can still achieve his false god and true forms, it's just that he needs something super powerful to do so (like SOULs, Chaos Emeralds, etc.)
Fun Fact #3: This form was achieved by Azazel trying to force his body to look like his original form, but he couldn't do a good job of it.
Fun Fact #4: If you notice, his head is shaped like that of jester or fool. This is because Azazel also views himself as the stupidest fool for getting tricked by the cultists and he blames himself for dooming people. He feels like he should have known better even though stranger danger wasn't as big of a thing 100 years ago, especially not in the monster lands so there's no way he could've known better. He also feels stupid for not being able to figure out how to replicate his true form (even though what he got accomplished is still impressive).
Fun Fact #5: That gash on his chest is actually a separate mouth.
Fun Fact #6: His SOUL is constantly leaking DETERMINATION. The Kindness and Bravery parts of it are also constantly melting.
Fun Fact #7: He may appear frightening, but if you give him lots of nice hugs, pets, and friendly kisses, he'll act like a big old lap dog, wanting your affection.
P.S. I took inspiration Undertale amalgamates w/ this one (maybe even a bit of the Comic Papyrus version of the Bromalgamate as well). I also took some inspiration from a pic by  burntbeebs.
