After the meal, I payed and walked out with the girls to the streets.
"I still don't see why I can't live with you." Cynder said, "Your life doesn't seem so hard."
"That's because I'm near the top." I said, "If you really wanna taste of how it goes, I'll show you a few ropes."
"You mean, you'll show me how you can make money?" She got in front of me and smiled big.
"Just know, there's a reason, I'm showing how you and Serina with this."
"Oh, She won't care," Cynder said, "As long as she's with me."

I gave her a warning, and so, I shrugged, "Alright, First thing first; No breaking the law." I started walking, "I did that maybe once, and now I regret it. Don't make the same mistake."
"Okay, Follow the law. Got it, daddy." Cynder smiled and skipped behind me, "So how do we make money like you?"
"Well, because we can't steal anything, we find money. Literally." I stopped by some vending machines, "And here is where we start."
Cynder looked at it for a moment. I think she read my mind, because she caught on quick and started reaching her hands under the machines and in the slots. Serina mainly watched her, but it didn't really matter. Cynder didn't find a thing.
"What now?" She asked, and I turned away, continuing down the street, "Wait what?" She ran after me and her sister followed. "You really mean you use to do this?"
"I use to do that and save up," I said, "Things were cheaper back when I was a pup, but this was how I did it. That and collecting recyclable bottles to bring to the recycling centers. But that's just as tedious as this."
"You would just go hungry when you couldn't find enough?" Cynder asked, and my ears went back, remembering. "Why can't we just use the money you got? or make it how you did?"
"Because you can still be a legal citizen to places." I said, "I want you taking advantage of that, and it won't happen if you smuggle, steal, and kill."
"Serina wouldn't mind."
"And that I despise." I growled under my breath. "Just keep it up, kid."
She pouted as we went around scraping up coins, but this would be good for her. She would learn why living this life is not as great as she thinks, and maybe make a smarter move when she goes somewhere over seas. I could only hope, I don't know about Serina.
