Ruuna - the Creator
"Hail to the Eldest One,
Born in the endless night,
There alone in the darkness.
Hail to the Eternal Mother,
Who made the ultimate sacrifice,
Torn apart to birth our world.
Hail to the Endless Reborn,
United in flesh and spirit,
Brought together in life again."

(Sorry for the long-winded explanation! Wanted to talk about the different things I seeded into this piece and I decided to write a thing about that!)
The idea for this piece had been in my mind for years now, though it was a while for it to be brought to even a sketch since most of it was mostly piecemeal; only which character it was based on and the idea of the cosmos weaving into their being.
The character in the artwork is not a new character, but rather an enhancement of Rosetta, a character of mine (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/PQEV1) with elements of The Sacrificed God (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/e05dbD). The six main stars are both a callback to TSG (the eyes floating in the smoke projecting from their head) and the Gods of Thormundar (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/LdEXP), who in the storyline are the "children" of Ruuna. The left eye obscured by a star is also a nod to The Sacrificed God's design, as that part of their face is massively disfigured. The background for this piece was pretty abstract, and was inspired by equal parts astronomy manuscripts and Russian Byzantine artwork.

This is honestly one of the coolest damn things I have ever seen on this site.
From the concept, to the artstyle, and the incredible details, the colours - everything.
I've found myself looking at this over and over again the past few days, and I found new details each time.
Absolutely stellar work (pun intended)
