This is a portrait I did of my alter ego, Alex Reynard, 'grown up', I guess you could say. I went through an extremely emotionally and psychologically damaging childhood and for a long time my biggest fight was just to collect the fragments of my brain into an acceptable configuration. I still battle my own bad wiring, but a big part of me also wants to protect and comfort others who've gone through the same things. A lot of characters in my novels are metaphors for this desire (Razielphustar, Adam Tallevasco, the whole plot of Ghost Story). This is Alex as I see him seeking out those who harm children so he can scare the everliving crap out of them. ;)
