Heh, just started reading this manga. I do see similarities, but honestly, how many movies about bank heists do we have?
You really captured how cute Legosi is. That he has to squat so far down adds to it. Though, honestly, I would imagine he has to get on his belly to be eye level with Judy.

I like Beastars, but the attitude that it's better than Zootopia because it's "gory and edgy and more serious" is just blind fanboyism and doesn't stand on any factual analysis. It also doesn't help that you had to make Judy act extremely OOC to drive your point. Why would Judy, a police officer, ASSAULT a citizen for "stealing", when she never laid a finger on Nick either for hustling her? This is manipulative portrayal to make your side look like the winner, clear cut example of this:
