I wanted to draw my polar bear girl, Sonia. I feel like I don't draw her nearly as much as I should and as such I'm out of practice. :3

As one who enjoys cooking, especially for other people, a scenario such as this is pretty much in character for her. Well, maybe not completely as she's usually reserved and not one to serve up "eye candy" with a meal; but  marcushunter and I have talked about how amusing something like this would be and I thought I'd draw it (as I was struggling to think of other ideas to do)

For some reason, 3/4 views from the back have been giving me a lot of trouble lately, and drawing one with "added bulk" was quite challenging, especially with adding the apron. I got to practice with backgrounds as I don't do those nearly as often as I should.

I tried experimenting a bit for the New Year, so I did a bit of line art with minimal gray scale coloring. I was going to do the whole thing in this way, but with Sonia being white, it make her stand out in a jarring way, so instead I went with graying the apron and gloves and stuff and I think it highlights things subtly but better than the alternative.
