Please tell me Ringling isn't one of these pretentious art schools that stigmatizes someone just because they draw anthropomorphic characters once in awhile.
You've got skills and can draw a variety of subject matter, regardless if it's cartoon animals, humans, life drawing, whatever. You're concerned what others think of what you draw? If anyone gives you grief look em dead in the eye and say, "You don't like what I'm drawin', then turn your head elsewhere." Anyone who judges you and labels you a creep merely because you drew some humanoid with animal-like traits is someone you shouldn't associate with anyway. People are shallow.
Incidentally, I wish I had a 10th of the skill you have when I was 19. It makes me regret not having to have gone to a place like Sheridan or Cal Arts when I had the opportunity. :)

I've never gotten anything negative from the things I draw, even if I am drawing animals people tend to think it's pretty cool for some reason. I've never gotten any wank about it. 8( It's still uncomfortable though.

I hate it when people do that :c Two of my guy friends last year would call me a furry every time they saw me drawing animals. That and they had this running joke that I had the better character sheet for our bipedal character assignment in animation because I was a furry or something dumb like that.

I actually used to be nervous when drawing around people I didn't know, till high school/community college hit. xD
I remember doodling porn in one of my college classes and I didn't care what people taught if they glanced at it. lol

For some reason it's the opposite here at college. Back in high school I was comfortable with drawing in class and not caring who saw what I was drawing. Here in college, ART college, I get somewhat nervous when people glance at my sketchbook and see what I'm drawing. q_q I guess it's because at high school no one exactly knew the term furry and such, they just labeled everything I drew as anime or disney and thought it was COOL. Here at art college I have a feeling you get judged for that sorta thing..
