to be 100% fair on this entire situation. He asked for this the moment he signed the dotted line...demons aren't known for letting you get a ''free ride'' if they give you power. Every single time they are gonna lawyer grade screw you over with fine print. You never NEVER sign up with demons unless you are sure you know what you're getting into!

Pretty harsh... but true. It's important to think things over and be fully aware of the possibly consequences of your actions before you commit them. And he did none of that when he just 'pop', signed it up like it was nothing. Ehh, as his 'mom' said, "You poor fool, do you even realize what you've done?!".
In his defense, he's a young creature, teenager, adventurous, rebellious, and rather.. energetic type that's do-something-think-later.. or not think at all type of a guy, at least in his current age.. he's not an Einstein in the least which we can see throughout the series and his 'personality cart' on one of the arts that Synth uploaded heh.. but yea, it's quite his fault for so willingly and hastily stepping into this mess, getting from one trouble into another.. let's just hope others won't be hurt -too much- from his lack of responsibility.

I'm rather certain that Lexus would not kill Clem, though he would probably kill Jonty.
Keeping in mind that he is still seeking out Clem's attention/affection.
Lexus did set up the angels to kill Jonty after all, presumably because he sees Jonty as competition.
