I have mixed this a bit. Actually I didn't realize this but I had it going nearly in mono before with all of the tracks dead center. I added reverb to the main vocal line and moved around the other three.
This is also my longest song yet but please don't be scared away by that.
and now, here comes the sound
So familiar, so enigmatic
it’s heard so often, just pulls your heart out
so round, and so despair
second nature, to sadness
a sense of longing, so prevailing
No, I won’t be there (no 2,3 triplet one “I won’t be there”)
No, I won’t be there
the sound, just went underground
(bridge)
you better hit em right where it hurts
or they might just hit you back
yeah, they’re wearing the wrong color shirts
we anticipate their attacks
and, aw baby don’t let me hurt you now
get as far away as you can
you know they always got me lookin’ down
again and again and again.
(guitar solo)
no ground, no resolution
enough to spend, for days
you can have it, if you just want it bad enough
the hounds, I think they see me now
so I guess I’ll, just see you later
there is no boundary, once you’ve crossed it
but No, I won’t be there
No, I won’t be there
the sound just went underground.

Tune your guitar, man! Also, maybe give your main vocals a little sparkle in the mix to lift them beyond the background vocals. This song will shine with a little more time spent mixing!
Otherwise, it works well, and has a nice nostalgic feel to it! The vocals are well done, though distorted, so still re-record those too!

aw eff. I didn't think anyone would notice but as I played my guitar slowly tuned down so when I pasted in previous things into the rest it would go up the tiniest bit and then back down, specifically the arpeggiated part to the chord part. I have no mixing capabilities really (all done in garageband) but I agree that that's my biggest weakness. Also with the guitar the friggin G string sucks! I can't get it perfect no matter how much I mess with it and then when I play chords I press a bit too hard I guess so it goes sharp. How are the vocals distorted? When I get loud it can't really handle it. It is a stock mic on a macbook though and I'm always impressed. I should look into an actual recording mic but its so many dollars. Thank you, this is probably the first actual feedback I've ever gotten. I don't think anyone likes it, I have plenty of views but only one comment.
Well, the guitar is off, and it is a little noticeable I don't mind too much due to .
I really never said anything about mixing and recording quality because I don't expect people to have great microphones or software, so I never judge based upon audio quality, and I only try to see if I can say anything on the musical elements, which here are very good, plus I don't really feel qualified to comment on rock music... So I'm sorry if I'm a useless watcher.
But tell you what, I know of a great (and cheap) microphone that can be attached to computers via USB (so no need to get an extra sound card or anything) , you heard of AKG? They make a great (and cheap) line of microphones called 'Perception', and the Perception 120 (they have both a USB and standard version of this one) is really good, though I use a different microphone for my guitar/piano work (more expensive since its a recorder/microphone with multi-tracking and the ability to attach an extra two microphones in there, but I've heard the AKG one and it's got a very warm sound).
As with all your music, I still enjoyed this very much!

I believe you have my stapler ._.
I think its sounds great:) I love the old 50s feel of it! you need to turn up the reverb on the vocals to like to epic levels just to dive it home:3 The guitar is a bit off but, honestly I didn't really notice it the first time through and guitars have a pretty f***ed up amount of out of tunedness anyway due to their inability to really do the equal temperament ting all that well. If you have a program with pitch correction you could kick it just a touch and that would do a lot. But again it didn't really bother me at all.
I really like the the lyrics:)

I'm on my iPhone , listening in higher quality than on the comp and I just realized , FUCK you ! Your voice is so damn awesome ! Your amazing voice is one damn gift ! I noticed your guitar and bass lines are quite imature but I love the bass volume , it fills up the song I hate it when you can't hear the bass and I defenetely can not say that about your song . The drums are horrible you just played your midi and you did it in like 1 take. Tempo mistakes And still this is so fucken awesome ! Defenetely my favourit music on this site. It's hard to type on an iPhone so BYE
Hey look at you! AWESOME comment. I really wish I saw more of this.
The more I look back on it yes, you could take the tuning as intentional. But really it just detuned over multiple takes. This has encouraged me to keep this version though.
But my good friend
mordekaivesuvius already made me a new backing track and played slide guitar and made it better overall. Look for that on I think either of our galleries. But I thank you for the detailed comment. I can tell you really listened.
