I promised myself that, if "Carry On" won the Ursa Major award, I wouldn't schill for it again. But this is a general public service announcement to let everyone know that the nomination period is now open, and time grows short to go suggest your nominees for the best in furry artwork from the past year.
And please remember who told you about it...! ;)

Yeah, I agree that there should be a "professional" category for, like, Disney works, and then "amateur." But I don't know how they'd break that down. I mean, there's a lot of folks who make a living from their artwork, but they're not corporate; yet they would dominate the category just on name recognition. I was grateful that "Housepets!" withdrew from competition last year, otherwise I'm sure it would have won yet again, because it has such a large audience.
At any rate, I'd like more people to realize that the UMAs exist. It bills itself as the highest honor of the furry fandom, but few people have actually heard of it, and fewer still participate. It's astonishing that the "Fursuit" category might have no entries at all other than a professional mascot.
