Through a series of (un?)fortunate events, Casey ends up being mutated and becomes a turtle like the brothers, albeit with some significant... changes to his biological make-up and how his body works. It's a big change and luckily, he has the brothers to help him through it. It also gives him the push he needs to come out to the people he considers his family, and a massive weight leaves his shoulders when he does. Mutations can cause monstrous things to happen, but every once in awhile, they can be the catalyst people need to become who there were always meant to be.
