So I may have doodled something...Several somethings, actually - what began with a doodle of one form turned into doodles of several, and I'm not sure which one I like best, which one(s) I should keep as part of the character, or if I should just go with "all of the above" and give him several different potential forms. Because that's always a possibility, too.
What do you guys think? Any opinions on forms (favorites, which one should be the "base" form, whether or not to keep them all, etc.)?
Also, any thoughts on what to name him?
I figure he'd have a fairly quiet, reserved personality type, though I'm not sure of his nature (natural? magical? demonic? divine?). And since he's primarily inspired by marine invertebrates (particularly nudibranchs and tomopteris), it's quite possible he'd be hermaphroditic too. But what are your opinions?
If people like him, it would encourage me to draw him again, and perhaps make him a more official character. ^_^

I love them too, they're just so pretty! ^_^ I've admittedly been wanting to somehow incorporate them into character design(s) for a while now, but this is my first actual character to come out of the idea. Still a few design elements I might continue to play with, but overall I like how he turned out.
This design is so prettyyyyy omg :’D I’d be partial to him being able to switch between forms, because 1. That’s fun 2. Many marine invertebrates do go through extreme morphological changes throughout their lives so its keeping in theme. Name-wise the first thing to come to mind was Twil (rhymes with Will). The portion of the sea where it begins to lose light is often referred to as The Twilight Zone and his colors remind me of the blue bioluminescent of firefly squid and other inhabitants of that zone. Plus quick, trilling consonants like that as names has a very fantasy aesthetic imo

And Twil is a pretty cool name idea. I will have to ponder this. XD I may end up putting a list together of some of the suggested name ideas and either pick one or see what people think.
