A mysterious comet floats by in a middle of the night, leaving a trail of parasites. In the next morning, several people who had gotten infected with the parasites had gained magical abilities but have been recently become violent and aggressive. The 'infected' have become more animal like and are rampaging in their home realms. The players, equipped with their own friendly parasites (or not) to venture into the town where the comet was first and last seen and stop the true mastermind behind this incident.

Prologue:
It was a quiet summer night, until a strange light it the sky appeared and vanished as if a strange comet passed by. In the next morning, a swarm of parasites have invade several realms. To make matters worse, those who are exposed to the parasites have gained supernatural abilities and are running rampant with unfathomable strength. In the midst of this undeniable incident, the player sets out to investigate and confront the perpetrator behind it.


Story:
The player ventures in Henkei at night to see the affects of the incident, there they encounter a talking dog Kanada Theodore Phillips. The player defeats Kanda and proceeds in the woods and encounters a mycon, Dokuta Kinokoto. After the player defeats Dokuta for suspicion that she is spreading the parasites, she reveals to the player that she is gathering the parasites to prevent more people from becoming infected and going berserk. She then tells the player to gather the parasites themselves and venture deep in the Black Forest where they can gather most parasites there.

After beating several berserk infected, the player meets Clair Berhman. The player questions Clair, who reveals that they are using the parasites' power to test their strength. After beating Clair's test, the player suspects that the parasites have originated from the comet and travels underground to where it is last seen located.

Underneath the village graveyard, the player meets Juniper Smith, a witch doctor that is studying the parasites. Juniper noticies the player collecting a parasites and attacks, only to be defeated. Juniper explains to the player that the comet was manifested from the dream world and that they should find the culprit there.

In the dream world, the player fights their way in the dream temple where they meet Tonalli Nahua. A nagual that escaped Mictlan and is the one that sent the comet to spread the parasites to make those infected by them turn into were-beasts like himself. The player proceeds to deafeat him. And after their battle, the player notices that Tonalli isn't the type to perform powerful magic like using the comet and Tonalli reveals to the player that a manipulated a fellow god and that they should seek her before escaping.

The player leaves the dream realm and encounters Michizane Fumigami, a god of academics and literature and is the god Tonalli manipulated into using her ability to spread the parasites. Michizane proposes a duel with the player, if they win, she'll end the incident. The player battles with Michizane and Michizane is defeated.

Extra:
After their duel, Michizane uses her ability to exterminate the parasites and warns the player that the 'comet' was not a comet, but a person. The player enters the dream world again to look for Tonalli but encounters Pandora Lazuli, who playfully warns the player to turn back, but is defeated. The player then encounters P. Ruby, who reveals herself as the true culprit of the incident and the creator of the parasites. The player battles P. Ruby and she is defeated, promising to get rid of the remaining parasites and leave for good.

An eldritch deity trapped inside the body of a dog by Gregalias and is owned by Marko. He attacks the player during the incident to see if his powers returned, but was easily defeated.

Hermit of the Black Forest
Dokuta Kinokoto
Stage 2 Boss and Midboss
A mycon that can manipulate and gather poison. Being worried that the berseked infected are rampaging in the forest and destroying the crops used for medicine, she removes the parasytes from them but was attacked by the Player for mistaking her for spreading them.

Artillery Doll Maker
Clair Behrman
Stage 3 Boss
A human who recently transfered to the agency. Instead of investigating their first case of an incident, they took the opportunity of using the parasytes' powers and testing their abilities.

Wicked Doctor That Spreads Diseases
Juniper Smith
Stage 4 Boss
A witch doctor that is known for causing plagues and experimenting with corpses. Juniper discovers that the parasites are granting powerful abilities to those who are infected with them, she too takes the opportunity to experiment them with her mummy/zombie/frankenstein assistant.

Rampaging Ancient Were-Beast
Tonalli Nahua
Stage 5 Boss
A nagual who was held in Mictlan but has managed to escape and is on the run. He makes a deal with P. Ruby granting his wish on invading the world by turning people into were-beasts.

God with Unavoidable Words
Michizane Fumigami
Stage 6 Boss
A god of academics, scholarship, learning and literature whose abilities allow anything she writes to come true. She willingly allowed herself to be manipulated by Tonalli just so she can see the effects of the incident, which she can easily resolve just by writing it.

A pandorian who is associated with P. Ruby and tries to fend off the player from reaching P. Ruby.

Pandorian Who Satisfies Miserable Souls
P. Ruby
Extra Stage Boss
A mysterious pandorian that can create virtual reality and granting people's wishes, but with a price. The comet that was soaring in the night and spreading the parasites was P. Ruby. Tonalli made a deal with P. Ruby of granting his wish of turning people into were-beasts and invading the living world, but since P. Ruby's abilities are not permanent, she insist on having Tonalli manipulate Michizane into allowing the incident to happen.
