This is the bassist named Scruffy in Steph And The Characters. His real name is Skip Hummer but people call him Scruffy due to his long hair and beard which he doesn't mind at all. Like Steph, Scruffy feels lonely sometimes and tells her he knows what it's like to get picked on 'cause of what they are. He also tells her no one's perfect and gets teased by the other band members but takes it well which is why he's everyone's favorite. Scruffy is someone who can stand up for himself.
