So much truth in this. viscous circle it is.
The other part that sucked was when you stood up to them, and instead of them respecting you, like everyone tells you they will....they always come back with 3-4 of there closest friends, sometimes older brothers, and just beat you in numbers.
Yeah....childhood was no picnic.

It's a funny comic, but sad because it's true. Bully starts picking on a kid. If the kid tells a teacher, they either do nothing, tell them to stand up for themself, Or (in the case of a niece of mine) them not to to be a tattle-tale (They actually did). If the kid does actually stand up for themselves and fights back, they get in trouble and told they should have told someone what was happening, which some times they DID.
I saw this a lot in public school. How are you supposed to do anything? The teachers either won't, or can't, do anything unless they see it themselves, and often won't even do something then, unless they're assaulting you. And only the dumbest bullies get caught in the act. I'm glad I'm out of that shitty institution. (Which I hear has only got worse since I left)
