"So he's keeping a KOOPA up there?" the female yoshi gasped, paw to chest.
"Yep, that's right," said the male as he leaned back in his seat, looking up the cliff. "Said so himself to the mayor not too long ago."
"That's rather worrisome..."
"Tell me about it," the male muttered. "Cid's been an oddball for sure. Always going off to different place and always being sketchy about it. This time he came back with a bonifide Koopa of all things. Stuff, I can imagine, but PEOPLE?"
"I would think 'person' is a bit of a stretch," the female remarked, taking another sip of her drink.
"I guess it's not TOO out of sorts," the male commented, shrugging. "Cid WAS pretty banged up the first time he showed up here. Or rather, when a few of us found him."
"Oh! I never heard about that."
"Yeah, long time ago. He was marked all over the place, delusional, in a daze...looked like he'd been through something bad."
"What was it?"
The male shrugged, looking off. "Dunno. He say's he can't remember. And honestly, seems like that's the case with what the docs say and all."
"Hmm...I suppose with such a harsh beginning..." the female trailed off, looking up the cliff.
"Yeah," the male replied, prodding the side of his head. "Reason why we put up with Cid's more...'strangeness'...but this Koopa thing is the weirdest yet."
"I must say, I don't quite agree with it being here..."
"As long as it doesn't bring Bowser on us...guess we can leave it to the elders on that one..."
"I hope it's just some weird phase...."
"Me too...me too..."
