The Banner forged from the three original rulers: The Imperial Guards, the Republican Senate, and then Governor Sargon and his PDF. Fringed with gold, and white text paying homage to the planet, and the illustrious God-Emperor of Mankind.
Sargon, third world colonized by the Imperium of Mankind in 010.M41 during the Cypris Campaign (Cypris was the original Grey Knights name for Sigmaton, but once the Sigma Guard took the system, they renamed it to thus). It is in the Sigmaton Sector, and populated by the remnants of the Sigma Guards that originated elsewhere. With Settlement Rights just forming, after taking Sargon from the hands of Chaos, they were entitled to colonize it once again. The planet is primarily an Eden World, 56% water, 41% temperate land, and 3% glaciers. They speak Low Gothic in all places. The orbital radius is 3.4AU. The average temperature throughout the temperate areas of the planet is 15-25C, while the tundra remains at -75C. The Imperial Guards Garrison reaches close to 500 Million men, while the PDF has about 2 billion people. They have about a thousand ODF's, which hold about 2-5 thousand staff and 300 fighters/interceptors. Agriculture is based primarily on the wheat grown in the fields of temperate prairies and charcoal from the Nolkwood forests between the tundra and temperate lands (Nolkwood is a type of hard wood that is comparable to beech). Industry is very limited, they have charcoal factories and furniture factories. They depend on imports from the nearby industrial world Byza for any manufactured goods like lasrifles, fuelcells, armour, petrol, and vehicles. Highways capable of supporting an Army March are few, The Grand Highway of the Republic and Highway 55.
Though Sargon's Guard is mostly infantry-based, they have a few hundred Basilisks, thousands of Chimeras for transports, two hundred Leman Russes, a million Sentinels (2/3 are for auxiliary use, like munitions transport), and ten thousand Valkyries.
It should also be noted that Sargon's Northern Polar Cap houses the Command Post of the Archons of Times, a Space Marine Chapter of my own design.
