What he asked for was a bit of a "alternative ending" to the final episodes of Disney's "The Lion Guard" TV-Show, in which the relationships between a few of the characters gets switched a bit from how it happen in the show.
It really says itself, but MAJOR SPOILERS to anyone who hasn't seen the actual ending of the show, since then this all might come off as a bit confusing. XP
Lion Guard belongs to Disney.
This had been what Kion's journey had all been leading up to.
What had started as a quest for him and his friends to help cure the Lion Guard Leader from the poisonous scar over his left eye, had slowly but surely been forming into something much larger and important.
Their journey had taken them to a place called "The Tree Of Life", and almost immediately after arriving they all got a certain feeling of "Comfort" from the place. (Almost as if they could call this place home, despite their real home being all the way back at Pride Rocks.)
For Kion it meant everything to have finally made it to this mystical location, as he wasted no time rehabilitating himself into curing himself both from the scar's pains, and also from the almost "evil" thoughts it made him have.
But despite being a place known for it's peacefulness it didn't take long until bad guys showed up, and the Lion Guard was once more faced with doing what they did do best.
Kick butts and saving days!
Unlike with when doing fights in Pride Rock however these bad guys didn't simply leave once defeated, but returned stronger! (And with more of them helping along also!)
Things eventually got so bad that the valley with the legendary tree in it became like a battlefield, where literally every good and evil creature imaginable was fighting it out over this tree's future.
Luckily this had also been the time when Kion had finally managed to unlock his full potential in his powerful roar, and he used it to single-handedly end the battle in the good guys favour.
Still, after such a massive victory Kion was still the same down to earth humble hero as he always was, as he still saw this as a team-effort that he couldn't have been able to pull off without the help of his friends.
Not only that, but the treatment for his scar had done wonders, as besides the outer mark that would never go away Kion felt completely back to his normal self once more.
This was great news to everyone in his group, but most of all it was the best news possible for Fuli the Cheetah, who had been super worried that she would possibly "Lose Kion" forever.
Even if she was a tough girl that never liked to show her true feelings for anyone she had an extra hard time doing so when it was about Kion, as she quite honestly felt like she was having a major crush on the Lion leader.
She just wanted to run over and give Kion a surprise kiss to show how relieved she was to know he was back to normal, when suddenly they found themselves interrupted by another Lion joining the group.
This was Rani, who very recently had become the new Queen over the Tree of Life, and who had come to thank the Lion Guard for their great work in protecting the whole place from evil.
"But most of all I want to thank you Kion, as I don't think I have ever seen such a feat being pulled off by the roar ever before!" The Lion Queen said highly impressed as she then got a bit personal as she looked at Kion and told him, "Kion. There is something I have been meaning to ask you."
"Yes?" Kion asked highly unsure as Rani got very up and personal with him as she asked him, "Since you would be of such great help and a huge inspiration for all the creatures of this place...would you like to become the King here, and rule together with me?"
While that question was very sudden for Kion and most of his friends, it was something that made Fuli whole world break down inside of her.
She had never dared to tell Kion how she truly felt about him, and now she was risking of losing him forever!
Bunga noticed how his feline friend looked liked she could barley stand up as he asked her, "Are you alright, Fuli?"
"I'm fine!" Fuli snarled back loudly, scaring the Honey Badger into taking a few steps backwards as he could see that the Cheetah girl was clearly having a lot of emotional trauma going on right now.
It was right that that moment when they all heard a familiar voice calling "Lion Guards!", and when looking over they saw how two Hyenas and a male Cheetah came running towards them.
These Hyenas was Janja and Jasiri, who had both come all the way from the Pridelands to find them. The Cheetah was also someone the group recognized as Azaad, who they had been meeting during their long journey to the tree.
Noticing how they had all arrived during the middle of something very important looking Jasiri asked on what was going on, with Bunga very bluntly saying "Kion helped save Rani's kingdom, so now she is offering him to rule together with her as King!" as he still thought it sounded super exciting and fun.
"It's true." Kion said to the newly arrived ones, before then putting back his focus over at Rani and letting her know what his decision on the matter is.
"Rani, I am truly honoured to hear you want me to become your King and rule this land together..." Kion said before then seeming to have a hard time to find his words. "...but I think I have to sadly decline your offer."
This sent a literal shockwave around his friends and allies, with Rani looking the most shocked and confused as she just asked "Wait, what?" in slight disbelief.
"It's just that I don't think I can take on such an offer unless my heart truly is in place for it. And in this case, it isn't." Kion explained as he added that he is still very flattered that Rani would feel such intense things for him.
"The truth is that I already have someone that I have shared more adventures with then anyone else, and I know she is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with." Kion said as he looked behind himself and said "Fuli." while locking eyes with the Cheetah girl.
To Fuli this was all starting to feel like a weird dream as all her wobbly voice could say was "M-Me?", while having tears coming down her eyes slowly.
"Yes you." Kion said as he walked up and stroke her head with his own head. "I've always thought you are the most toughest and strongest girl I have ever seen, and I would love to have you as my girlfriend."
All that Fuli could muster to say was "Oh Kion!", before the two them to ended up locking jaws and embracing in a kiss in front of everyone else!
It was quite the scene for everyone to see Kion and Fuli so fully embracing and confessing their love for each other, as especially Rani had to do her best to try and not show any signs of how disappointed she felt over losing such an amazing guy like Kion.
Someone that did notice how hard she took her rejection was Azaad, who knew he would have to have a bit of a talk with the Lion Queen when he got the chance.
Noticing how late it was getting Kion requested for them all to be able to stay one last night at the Tree of Life, before then leaving the day after to return to the Pride Lands.
Knowing how much she had to thank them for Rani saw now reason not to accept Kion's request, as she wished for them all to have "The most wonderful night of sleep" that her Kingdom could offer.
As the group started to separate Janja had noticed how Jasiri had been reaction fairly well over seeing Kion admitting his love for Fuli, given that he knows how many times Jasiri and Kion had been spending together in the past.
"You're alright Janja? You have been looking at me a bit weirdly." Jasiri pointed out, making the male Hyena startle a bit over having been found out.
"It's just that you seemed pretty cool with Kion saying that he loves Fuli. Given how you two...you know, hanged out a lot together?" Janja tried to carefully tell Jasiri, who started to cackle with laughter's that was even a bit to much for what Hyenas normally do.
Once she was able to breath again Jasiri told Janja, "Kion made it very clear to me early on that his eyes was all set for Fuli, so we both knew from the start that we were never going to be anything else then just really good friends, that can always relay on each other's help when we need it the most."
She then got a bit personal to Janja as she added, "Besides, someone has to make sure you don't put yourself into any more dangerous situations." making Janja wonder for a moment on just what she was talking about, when he accidentally stepped one foot off a tall cliff and almost started to fall over!
Luckily for him Jasiri acted super quick by biting hard into Janja's tail (Making the male Hyena let out a big "OUCH!!!" scream in response), before then pulling hard to make him tip over and land on solid ground once more.
At first Janja was still upset about his tail being injured but once he realized just how close to death he had been there he quickly said "Thanks for saving my life." to Jasiri.
"You see why you need me now in your life, pudding?" Jasiri said flirtingly, as Janja had to admit that he would be lying to himself if he hadn't been a little bit in love with how strong and smart of a Hyena she was.
(It seemed that it wasn't only Kion and Fuli tying the knot today.)
Back at the Tree of Life the young Queen still felt a bit heartbroken over having lost Kion, but most of all she felt dumbfounded over that he had chosen a Cheetah over her.
"I just don't get it! I thought Lions was suppose to be together with other Lions. So why did he pick a Cheetah instead?" Rani was asking herself while walking in circles in her throne room, as a sudden knock on the tree she was inside caught her attention.
Standing by the entrance was Azaad, who by the looks of things had been hearing her little rant as he asked "I'm guessing maybe you're not in the mood for a visit from a Cheetah?", making Rani blush a bit over how insensitive that rant had made her look like.
"Not at all. You are most welcome to come inside." Rani quickly told Azaad, who made his way down to her as she asked him on what she could help him with?
"I just came to see if there was something letting you down, since you seemed more then a bit low after talking to Kion earlier?" Azaad asked as Rani told him that she just hadn't been ready for him to reject her offer like that.
"Maybe if he had told me that he already had another Lioness waiting for him back in the Pride Lands or something I would have been okay, but that Cheetah girl? You must admit that is pretty unusual, right?" Rani asked Azaad for support, who in return had to agree that even he was "Quite surprised" when he saw that himself.
"He sure shocked us all quite good there, but I for one should probably have seen it coming a while ago." Azaad told Rani, who naturally asked him on what "clues" he had been seeing?
"I first met Fuli when she came passing by my home in the desert, as she said she was on the hunt for some Tuliza flowers. Apparently they would be used to help and "Calm down" a friend of hers, that was feeling very ill at the time. Back then I had just been surviving on my own, so when this female Cheetah suddenly showed up and was asking for my help I couldn't help but want to "test her" in just how fast she could be against me. I had never made it my plan to help her in the first place, but to simply brag over how I was the fastest Cheetah of them all. (Very shameful of me, I know.) During the big race however I ended up being to cocky for my own good, and found myself on the verge of falling to my death when failing at my last jump right before the finish line! Fuli had the chance to just let me fall to my fait and take the flower to herself, but instead she turned back and did the very uncharacteristic thing for a Cheetah and helped me. When I asked her on why she would do such a thing to a complete stranger like me she told me that she learned it from "A good friend" of hers. That was the very same friend that needed that flower for the cure, and would you believe it that friend happen to be a male Lion with a nasty scar over his one eye."
Hearing the end of that story Rani's eyes went wide as she said "Kion!" in great surprise, as Azaad smiled and said "The very same."
"It was from that moment on that I knew there was something deeper between the two of them that normally would never happen between a Lion and a Cheetah, and I could just tell from the way they looked at each other when she returned with that flower there was a lot more then just friendship going on with those two." Azaad said before then asking Rani if she too had been developing romantic emotions to Kion for as long as he had been here at the Tree of Life to get cured?
"Actually, no." Rani admited. "I guess when he first showed up I really didn't think he could be the one carrying the legendary roar, as he just seemed so "bad" at being a good leader. But when he started to get less sick from the scar and starting to show his actual leadership skills, he started to really grow on me."
"I take it that was when the love started to kick in?" Azaad teased as Rani giggled and said "Maybe." in return.
"But if I am being honest I think it was more the leader of Kion that I love, rather then the Lion himself." Rani confessed. "Since grandma passed away and left me with the role as Queen I just felt so scared over all the responsibility I would need to take care of now! So when seeing what a natural leader Kion was I just thought that if I made him my King then I in return could feel "safe" over being in my new role as Queen."
"So it was actually just all a case of you feeling like you wasn't ready, and hoped that Kion would be able to teach you how to rule more properly?" Azaad asked as Rani had to admit that they really had been getting to the very root of the problem now.
"Maybe I just need someone to be right next to me? Not necessarily someone who knows a great deal about ruling kingdoms, but at least someone who can be right next to me and support me through it all?" Rani wondered as Azaad suddenly was heard saying all casually, "Then what if I was that someone for you?"
"Wait, are you serious?" Rani asked highly confused as Azaad showed no doubts about his previous comment as he stated, "If Kion and Fuli showed that there is nothing weird with a Lion and Cheetah getting together, what would make us two any different?"
"But this is all just so sudden! Where did this sudden love for me come from even?" Rani asked as Azaad said that he just would be willing to do it if it meant making her feel better, as he even bent down his head low in a bow to her.
"I would do anything that woudl make you feel less scared. Heck, I would even dash all the way over to the Pride Lands and back without taking a break! Just like I did when getting the two Hyenas to come here." Azaad told Rani, who upon hearing that asked in shock "Wait. You actually ran all the way to the Pride Lands, and back without a break?!"
"Yes, your highness. There is nothing that I wouldn't do in order to serve to help and protect the tree, and of course protecting you also." Azaad said as he lifted his head to look into Rani's eyes, as the two started to feel a bit "funny" all of the sudden.
Rani was actually starting to lose her ability to think straight as she just laughed a bit nervously while saying, "I-I don't think I have ever even heard about someone as f-fast as you before.", getting in return Azaad's big strong body pressing right next to hers as he said "I would gladly show you just how Fast I can be at anytime."
(It was safe to say that by now Rani had all but forgot about her crush on Kion, as she could only wish him well with Fuli.)
As the sun was setting down over the Tree of Life it was still a few groups that could be seen wandering around, since they all wanted some "Private Time" to be with the one they love.
Out at the entrance to the big tree Azaad was seen offering a dance to Rani, who gladly took up on his offer.
Over at the berry bushes Jasiri could be seen getting some for Janja, as the male Hyena still looked a bit sore around his tail from that life saving bite that his girl had done for him.
And by the water hole Kion and Fuli was sitting next to each other, both feeling beyond blessed by now finally being fully open with their emotions for each other.
"Fuli. I would like to share something with you." Kion said, as Fuli curiously asked "What is it?"
"It's a little thing that my dad told me both he and Nala sang to each other during their first night together." Kion said before then suddenly starting to sing to her, "Can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are. It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer. That we've got this far."
Fuli smiled as she decided to return Kion's singing by taking tone herself and saying, "Can you feel the love tonight? How it's laid to rest? It's enough to make kings and vagabonds. Believe the very best."
Soon those same lines could be heard singing also from the berry bushes and the Tree of Life, as all three couples unknowingly was singing the song together, making it official that this night would become something none of them would ever forget.

Soon those same lines could be heard singing also from the berry bushes and the Tree of Life, as all three couples unknowingly was singing the song together, making it official that this night would become something none of them would ever forget.

I felt kind of bad for Rani. It must have been pretty awkward for her to be rejected in front of everyone. It does make sense that Kion would end up with someone he's spent ore time with and grown a close bond with. Luckily for Rani, Azaad was available :p even though things did move a little fast for her (but I guess that's the way Azaad likes it considering he's cheetah and all )
Really nice touch ending it with the song :3

You know how much I love a good Kion x Fuli scenario. :P It really does make more sense (despite the different species thing) to me for Kion to end up with Fuli. They've spent more time with eachother, and from what I've seen in when watching the show, Fuli clearly cares deeply for him.
Rani ending up with Azaad was something that I didn't expect, but I guess now that both she and Azaad have basically been rejected, I guess they make a good rebound for each other. XD

While I'm more in the Kion x Jasiri camp, this was still a good alternative. I only caught enough clips of the show's third season to where I could figure out what was going on and who ended up with who. Good fanfic, good pairings. I just wish Bunga, officially, would have gotten someone other than a clone of himself.
