Well it was recorded on a 9 foot grand in a church sanctuary, and on a spectacular bench that never moves or squeaks. My breathing was inaudible in comparison

The end, you leave the note hanging in suspense without taking it down to where it sounds all resolute. Basically, it sounds a half-step higher and therefore rather unresolved.

Ah yes, you're right in that I didn't end on the tonic note, per se, but it is a proper resolution. I'm not sure how much music theory you know, but the music uses what is known as a perfect authentic cadence, which is generally considered the most final type of resolving. I think the problem you have with it is since I staggered the chord, as is written in the original music, the last note played is the fifth. That's what the composer wanted though, so I'll stick to it.
That or I'm totally wrong xD
