Some people are morning people, for some it is like ascending to the summit of Everest just to get going every day. Others do not enjoy the process but through force of will rise to the challenge!
I am a morning person and Rosemary is in the last category. She is not someone who relishes the sight of sunrises and does not get out of bed with a smile on face. In fact she is a bit unfocused and rather grumpy until she gets her morning coffee. Besides she gets morning fur really bad! Usually it is the sexy frumpled type, but morning fur it is still morning fur.
Now some people have said I have cruel streak in me and that I can be mean practical joker. I just think of my self as being observant and taking advantage of opportunities when they arise. Here was a target of opportunity and a chance to help Rosemary wake up and get going quicker. I wasn't aiming for any specific area but I did hit a "sensitive" area below the waist line. At least she is more awake now!

This be me Saturday morning (just getting up at 14:15 local time, only four hours after my alarms tried to get me up) and Rosemary and I would get along just fine. Morning people are nasty things, cheerful morning people even more so …
That said, she’s sexy even with morning fur, and the proper way to wake the lady is to give her a good brushing.

I'm with Rosemary. If it were me, my response would be, "Are you sure you want those to be your last words?"
I much prefer to stay in bed when I don't have to get up, but when I do have to rise early I usually don't have a problem. I'm awake and alert, but it takes awhile before I'm in the mood to be around people (I also can't stand the taste of coffee). I'm definitely more of a night owl.

Well it is a long story that at some point I need to spell out in greater detail but in my sleep there are at least 13 versions of me. 12 raccoons avatars and one mouse avatar. The bulk of them act as camera crew and provide me with outside viewpoints and provide me with with images and sound when I am "supposedly" not there. Most of my characters are unaware of them and apparently don't see them when they are in the room.
Raccoon number 1 is assigned to
Smudge since she is number 1 to me. Raccoon number 2 is assign to Rosemary. The mouse version of me is usually detailed to Petina, although that is how I got to me the Move to the Music girls in person.
The only character who is a part of my subconscious and not real friend who just shows up in my sleep that knows what is really going is Petina. She knows she is a product of my subconscious and abuses that privilege relentlessly but has told no one else. Everyone else is aware that there is a two raccoons and a mouse that are me but generally chalk up to the odd residual effects of magic.

Personally, I'm both a morning person (love the peace and quiet), and a night owl (like to stay up late, also because it's nice and quiet, after awhile). This can royally mess up my sleeping schedule, though. ^^;;
Though I must admit, I don't like coffee. Orange Juice does it for me. :)

Not sure if the 'hit' was on a cheek. If not, I do not envy you her response. I once made a similar mistake, although it was frontal rather than posterior. She did forgive me. Eventually. Very Eventually. After extreme prostration and grovelling.
I, too, am not a morning person, although I do like sunrises. I just prefer to go to bed afterwards. With someone as gorgeous as Rosemary (even with morning fur), I'm just not sure I'd ever want to get out of bed.
