Pancreatic cancer. It's what killed Skipper and what kills many, if not most, pet ferrets. They are not sure why it is so prevalent in domesticated ferrets. One theory is that inbreeding is the cause (most pet ferrets are from Marshall Farms, which breeds ferrets as lab animals, and lab animals are as "standardized" as possible). There are other theories.
