Simone doesn't have much in the way of a crazy backstory, but she has, for a little while at least, lived with a very demanding, and controlling aged mother. She only recently died, and so Simone, having no one to be dependent on, finally moved out on her own.

The world is not a kind place, and not to soft-spoken, sensitive and close minded types. Simone was cut from that same cloth. Raised a faithful Christian she frequently uses any opportunity to stand up for the holy book, but doesn't do a very good job of it, shying away from difficult topics and being such a doormat for others. Try as she might to not let it stray into areas of being abused, it happens because she never learned how to really stand up for herself.

When Bibleman shows up in Windy City, the situation takes a turn and she tries to keep her mind on her support work. This is how she maintains some semblance of normalcy in her daily life.
