I just wanted to use a jpeg thumbnail. Ever since they updated the site that doesn't seem to work anymore. Anyways, I love cedar waxwings. They have cute little bandit masks. I've only been lucky enough to see one once. There are not very many of them where I live. I have never seen a golden eagle, but they are still my favorite raptor. There are tons of bald eagles and red tailed hawks where I live though.
Yeah it updated around Christmas I think. Waxwings only winter down here, but it's crazy to see them burn through an entire tree full of fruit in one day. I've seen a bald eagle once, and golden eagles have been seen around my area but I haven't seen one. Red-Tails are probably the most common raptor here.
I looked at information on both of the species in my comic. There are only 60 pairs of Golden Eagles in my state, and not in the area I live, so I'm not likely to see one :(. I am in the year round range for Cedar Waxwings, though so I'll just have to keep an eye. The one I saw was taking a drink in the bird bath in the back yard of the place I rent.
