It is a nice area. Just one to avoid in the high heat of summer or during our AZ Monsoons - floods like crazy.

Red Rock country not that far from Sedona. No masses of tourists swarming the place - just a few folks into hiking. Need to post an older pic of that area in the late spring- very green down by the creek then. Really nice swimming holes along the creek - packed a mask, fins and snorkel in some years go, was scaring the hell out of the fish and crawfish in the creek.
Been saying for years Arizona looks like Mars with plants and some water - blame it on Lowell and Burroughs
