Feeling good on a hike in Sycamore Canyon Wilderness. Had been sidelined for a long time with Sciatica. On a new exercise routine that has me mobile again and mostly pain free. Need to get back to that nice swimming hole there in warmer weather

Lol! Well done Sir. I use to live in Mohave County, but clunked around a bit in Yavapai County for sure.
Sorry to hear about your problem- but pleased to hear you are recovering. AZ can be an amazing place. (And for those of you that don't know, Arizona has some beautiful Rocky Mountain towns. It is not all desert sun and sand- not in the least. It is an amazing place.)

Thank you and glad to meet someone who knows my area. I was chomping at the bit for a long time, wanted to get outdoors but could barely go a few hundred yards without bad pain. Chriopractor helped a bit, but just wanted to do expensive adjustment after adjustment. Started off with some stretching exercises, some yoga poses - worked in swimming then biking then circuit weights. Using a weighted crunch bench and a weighted exercise where you are leaning back and lifting weights. The opposed exercises have really helped - doing 175 pounds for the crunch and 325 for the reverse.
Oh yes, the Mountain areas are fantastic. I love the ones in the Sonoran Desert - what they call the Sky Islands. Pine forests on the top, desert at the base. Mogollon Rim is fantastic and the areas bordering New Mexico are great - Greer, Alpine, Lockett Meadow.
Heading out to Greer in early May - do some trout fishing
