After an arduous climb, Yvendra reaches the top of the valley that she's been kept in her entire life by her over controlling mother. Growing up, her mother would tell her about the "bloodthirsty and primitive savages" that lived beyond the walls and valley, and using all her power to make sure she never left or questioned anything. After a chance encounter with someone from the outside and realizing that her mothers stories may not be true after all, Yvendra sneaks her way out and into the vast wilderness to uncover the truth about her family and their connection with the people living beyond the valley.
