It's a game series for the PC. It features fighter-class ships that looks similar to this.
Though I do think there is a movie called Homeworld, but it is totally irrelevent.

Kinda makes me see it being shot from a gun, hmmm.... there's an idea... or has the orbital insertion mass-driver been overdone... still its nifty.

Wow, this is cool NachT! Because you do characters so often and so well I don't think about you drawing stuff like this. I do like the ship design, it looks appropriately mechanical without being overly complicated. Also the smoke trails are very well done and a nice touch!

Hehe, this is where I started with my artistic creativity: weapon design >.O That cartoon called "Swat Kats" is what got me started on it as well, and I just went nuts with designing ever sense. Been to busy with commissions to do any real designing for materials lately :( Glad ya like though ^_^
