"Paid commission"?

If you don't pay for it it's not a commission but a gift/request.

What I meant is that some people who want free art from artists use the term" free commission", and that makes no sense since the word "commission" literally means to pay someone for their work. Among artists "free commission" is a meme for people who demand free art. And when someone says "paid commission" that sounds like as if "free commission" was a legit idea.

So I meant that the word "commission" already means that you paid for it, if you didn't, it's not a commission. :P
