The composition in this is amazing.
The vertical bridge girders "frame" the picture. The river and the banks "center" it. And best of all, the diagonal girder forms a triangle that intimately echoes the position of the standing/sitting figures. Every element in this pisture very elegantly draws the eye to the two characters and the way they're enjoying the scene and the moment.
