Holy shmit I actually submitted something. I have had a severe art block, a tablet that died and is now a zombie that glitches randomly but works. This is honestly the first thing I've finished in a good month or so and I am happy with it. He's got lots of feets =3

I'm assuming the bg is a pic?
I always hate it whne people use pics as bgs, because the art looks so...akward. like a cartoon character in a real world.
This is different though. I didn't even notice the bg was a pic until I really looked.((that is if it is a pic, im still unsure)
He blends in to well with his surroundings, and the lighting is superb.

It's just that it kind of is. "You couldn't possibly be good enough to mimic photography so well." *shrug* Not trying to start a fight, but I just wanted to say that it's dismal when one assumes that someone who is obviously a great artist would be that lazy on the BG after putting so much work into the foreground. :)

^^^ Giving the artist a chance to let me know if the background is, in fact, a picture or not.
"He blends in to well with his surroundings, and the lighting is superb."
^^^ Complimenting it if it is a picture. :/
I only assume because it looks so realistic, and I'm a new watcher so I don't know the artist well enough to know weather or not they frequently use pictures as backgrounds; which I find that most hyper realistic backgrounds are.
I'm just being logical.
._.
So i guess IM SORRY for assuming something that, although may not be true, I see all too often.

I'm sure the base was a photo. I'm a photographer and pencil artist. There's something about a photograph that is just different. Also, see http://www.furaffinity.net/view/298...../#cid:39505362 which uses the same technique. The colors are dragged around to form the drawing. It's a neat technique, and works way better than when someone pastes a drawn figure over a photo background. I've tried that, and it usually looks awful. Cumulo Nimbus here looks awesome.
