Ok!!!!!! So the absolutely lovely, generous, insane
coillte commissioned me to draw my new dragon lady!!!! And boy, I had so much fun drawing this. It's been so long since I went out of my comfort zone to try something I'm not usually drawing, let alone for myself! Drawing Ragnhild again makes me really fall in love with her design and I am so happy for the opportunity to create a full illustration of her.
The background didn't come out exactly how I wanted it. I wanted the bottom of the lake to be visible, but didn't really know how to do that without having Ragnhild touch the ground. I tried my hand at some rain effects which I'm pretty happy about, the colors came out ok-ish, wanted some more yellows but didn't really make it work. Also, having a character float half way in water from this angle was pretty tricky, but I'm pretty happy with how the effect came out!

OOOOOMGGGGGG NIRO THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!! ;A;
This picture is so serene and peaceful, like I can "feel" the setting in this picture! Ragnhild looks so relaxed and at peace just floating along in the water and that soft lil smile! I have to say that I think for the bottom of the water, it works out better this way that you handled it, as at least as far as where I live, when it rains it usually stirs up the water so its not really crystal clea, and with just the added shadow on under her, it still shows that the water is just deep enough for her to swim in!
