Work has been royally kicking my ass lately, but I finally have something to show aside from tiny notebook doodles. This is actually something I’ve been wanting to do for like…two or so years now but only now is it taking form beyond a quick scribble reminder.

Long story short, several years back I made a “monstersona” named Pleione for an extremely short-lived art-based RP group, and a year or two later I thought of messing around with the concept a bit more. Pleione still exists, but now there’s a bipedal, brown variation running around named Wick.

Honestly, I’ve also toyed with this being a secondary ‘sona of mine in general. I’ve had my lampsona for over a decade now, and it’s so tied to my online identity that many of my usernames around the internet are variations of the username “lampfaced”. So the lampsona isn’t going anywhere. But part of me wanted to make something… else? Something with a bit more of a face (i.e., teeth), something with a bit more personal symbolism (more direct violin mantis-inspired colors/features). The thing now is, because of how used I am to representing myself with a weird anthro lamp, I don’t know if Wick will ever truly be a secondary 'sona or if they’re just gonna be another character.

Whatever, I’m having fun, regardless of whatever Wick turns out to be. :v
