There are many a days when I feel the urge to give thanks, many a longing to don the robes and light the incense.
Today is a day that feels that it must be done and so i recite Inari Norito with offerings for a better self.

Kakemakumo kashikoki
Inari no Ōkami no ō mae ni
Kashikomi kashikomi mo maosaku

Ashita ni yūbe ni isoshimi tsutomuru
Ie no nariwai wo
Yurumu koto naku
Okotaru koto naku

Iya susume susume tamai
Iya tasuke ni tasuke tamaite

Iekado takaku
Fuki oko sashime tamai
Kakiwa ni tokiwa ni inochi nagaku

Uminoko no yasotsuzuki ni itaru made
Ikashi yaguwae no gotoku
Tachi sakaeshime tamai

Ie ni mo mi ni mo
Magakami no magakoto ara shime zu
Ayamachi okasu koto no aramu o ba
Kamunaohi ōnaohi ni minaoshi kikinaoshi mashite

Yo no mamori
Hi no mamori ni mamori
Sakiwae tamae to
Kashikomi kashikomi mo maosu*

*English:
In awe before the great kami Inari,
With apprehension and reverence,
I humbly speak these words.

From morning to night,
I will apply myself.
I will neither slacken in my profession,
Nor be neglectful.

I humbly ask:
Bestow upon me more encouragement,
And help me with support.

Lift my family,
Bringing us firm and unchanging long life.

Grant my descendants for many generations prosperity,
Like a tree, growing thicker and thicker.

Protect my home and my body
from the twisted deeds of malicious kami.
If I commit an error or transgression,
Correct me in my ways.
Rectify my sight, and rectify my hearing.

Protect me at night and protect me during the day,
And grant me happiness.
With apprehension and awe, I humbly speak these words.
