So first I want to try an action shot with this ninja kitty and myself. Second thanks to I feel my anatomy getting better this is probably the best one I've done so far and with the anime action style lines. Also please support the original owner with her Patreon and buy her stickers.

Time of Ninjas
Attack
The next morning came and the group once again set out for their destination. Now the path had more trees on either side. The sun was out and it was bright and sunny with the sounds of nature able to be heard. This time Karui and Kyouraku were bringing up the rear while Nicholas, Sky, Serena, and Kagetora were all up at the front. As the group walked in silence as it was one of those rare, quiet moments, the fennec fox and fosky noticed something on the right. It was a puddle of water. Right away the two knew something was up with that. It was clear and sunny and hadn’t rained in weeks. But they made no mention of this at all. The group just kept walking. What they didn’t see though was after going passed it at a certain point, something emerged from it. It was a head and belonged to a mouse. The mouth was covered up and then the full body emerged, the power this one was using similar to that of the Guardian Clan. The body was covered by some kind of dark colored cloak that matched the face mask by color. And the hair appeared to quiet bushy. But then it was clear why. Because the figure moved and it was revealed there was a second mouse, identical looking to the first. And because the cloak was now gone, it was shown these were female and clearly twin sisters. One had a gauntlet with clawed fingers on her right arm, the other the left. There was a chain connecting these two things with spikes. The sound of their movement was picked up by Karui thanks to her large ears. “What?!” the fennec exclaimed.
The chain the sisters used extended and wrapped around Karui, trapping her while pinning her arms to the side. The vixen’s grunting caused the rest in the group to turn and were shocked that enemies had appeared. They saw the two mice on either side of their leader holding the chain taught. “HUH?!” Serena exclaimed.
“WHAT?!” Sky shouted.
The two enemies pulled the chain. “Do it!” the one with the right gauntlet exclaimed.
Karui was literally torn to pieces by the chain. The fennec’s body was shredded apart. The rest in the group could only watch helpless as the chunks fell to the ground. Nicholas’s paws flew to his weapon pouches. “KARUI!” Kagetora yelled.
Sky then realized the enemy had snuck up behind her. The two female mice chuckled evilly. “Now it’s your turn!” the one with the left gauntlet hissed.
The sisters moved and so did Nicholas. The fosky jumped into the air and drew a kunai knife and shuriken in the design style his clan used. The male first threw the shuriken at the chain. It sent it flying back and into a tree. The mice who owned this saw what happened and before they could react, the long-haired male threw the knife at the shuriken. The latter had a hole that the kunai went into in order to hold the chain in place so the enemy wouldn’t be able to move. “I can’t get loose!” the one with the right gauntlet stated.
Sky was in shock now to see the fosky in action who wasn’t finished yet. He landed on the enemy’s arms and then grabbing the gauntlets, the male kicked the mice hard in the faces. The twins grunted and suddenly the chain attached the gauntlets was dethatched. The mice recovered and one of the females moved towards Kyouraku with the intent on killing the lupine. The other went after Sky who recovered enough to draw one of her kunai. Serena in the meantime moved as well as did Kagetora to protect the master road builder. Nicholas saw Sky was about to be attacked and moved to, making it just in time in front of the feline, katana already being drawn. But then it turned out none of that was needed for suddenly Karui appeared and with her arms caught the enemy in a choke lock that pretty much ended that fight. “Hi,” the vixen said simply with a smirk.
“She’s alive!” Kagetora stated.
“Hmph… you show off,” Nicholas mocked grumbled.
“But weren’t you…” began Sky and then saw what had been the remains of the female. What was there was actually pieces of wood. “Wait… what is that?”
“A technique our clan developed,” Karui explained, still holding onto the enemy who by this point had been knocked out from lack of air. “We can at times replace our bodes with other objects. It’s tricky to do but handy in certain situations.”
Kyoraku let out a breath of relief. “They saved me after all,” the lupin thought in his head.
“Good job all of you,” Karui told the other ninja. “Despite the suddenly surprise attack you reacted well.”
Nicholas then turned his head to Sky. “Hey, you okay?” he asked the feline.
Her eyes narrowed with disbelief. “What the hell is this guy?!” she wondered in her head. “How can that little brat I knew suddenly seem so cool and fluid?! It’s like he’d down that a thousand times! He was so calm even now! And he had to come up and save me! Him of all people! Ugh!”
“Well?” the fosky asked Sky. “Does the fact I save you bother you that much?”
The feline made no response. “Fine, I guess I owe you one as much as I hate being indebted to you,” she replied, looking away from him.
Karui heard that and said nothing. “By the way Kyouraku,” she told the lupine.
“Yeah, what?” he replied.
“We need to talk.”
The twins were tied up and now conscious. “They’re rogue ninja with elemental powers like my clan,” the fennec explained to the rest. “Judging from their clothes they use water and their specialty is relentless attack. They keep fighting no matter what the sacrifice.”
“How did you know about our ambush?” one of them asked.
“A puddle. On a clear day… when it hasn’t rained in weeks.”
“If you had noticed then why did you leave the others to do the fighting?” Kyoraku asked the vixen.
“I could have taken them out easily,” Karui answered. “But then I would have learned nothing. I had to know who their target was.” She gave the elderly male a piercing look. “And what they were after.”
“What are you getting at?” he grumbled.
“This. I wanted to know if they were after us, ninja attacking ninja. Or, if they were after you; the master road builder. When you put in your request, you asked for standard protection from robbers and highway males. You didn’t say there were ninja looking for you, hunting you down. If we knew this, the difficulty of the mission would be higher. Our task was to simply get you to your destination and protect you while you finished building your road.” Kyoraku now had a guilty look and looked down, avoiding her eyes. “If we knew we’d be fending off attacks from enemy ninja, we would have organized differently and charged for something higher of that standard. Apparently you have your reasons… But lying to us is not acceptable. We are now beyond the scope of this mission.”
“Hold on Karui,” Nicholas stated. “We’ve already come this far though. I mean it’s true this might not be what we signed up for. But I don’t think it makes sense to turn back now.”
“You make a point,” the fennec replied. “I suppose for now let’s continue before figuring out what to do next and get out of this area.” With that decision, the group left the enemy behind to be picked up by the right people. But the group of ninja would soon learn the whole story.
