Red lighting is pretty common in siduations where you need to preserve your night vision. The seat makes me think of older ejection seats used in aircraft. The overhang over the head is to help keep the pilot from being cut to ribbons by the canopy glass.
*chuckles*
I also can not help but point out, for scifi cockpit, that looks so very 70s.
I must also wonder at all the edge damage everything has. Oh I know, that happens in real life, but, they have it on the weirdist spots!
Still, lovely render. Kinda makes me think of the interior of the ship in Alien.

If you look at the pictures from the link I provided https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-cockpit-interior you'll see it was already done for me.
Sadly none of the panels actually emit light - just reflect it - so you see red/yellow as red and green/blue as near black.
Glad you liked it!
One day I might make my own props, but not today!

I play in DAZ 3D (because the base program is free!)
Props aren't 'hard', just time consuming depending on how much detail/control you want out of element.
But if you're crazy enough to want to do it, note me and we can see if we can come to a meeting of the minds (fair warning my mind spins in strange orbits!)

You have no idea where my mind wonders at times. I write myself, but, its really hard for me to put story to paper, as I start to wonder off, sometimes start writing a diferent story in the middle, loose track of where I am and worse. I really need to get my rear to focus better on what I am working on when I write. Doing a physical object is easy compaired to that. Still, it is definatly something to consider. Kinda like trying to figure out how to actualy make shirts and pants work with say tails and/or wings.
