Chapter 11: Call Of The Wild Destroyed.
It was early in the morning back at the retirement home, Beta was having trouble sleeping. He had not heard from Dug or Alpha in a while. Beta looked at the clock on the wall, 6:00 am. He looked outside in the backyard and saw Epsilon coming down from the spirit of adventure. Beta watched hardly as Epsilon made his way into the back door entrance. Epsilon looked at Beta and said his usual good morning, and headed straight for the kitchen. Beta walked through the double doors looking glum and down as he watched Epsilon put on his chef hat and began cooking breakfast.
Beta- I thought you were cooking for Norman Epsilon? Epsilon turned and looked at Beta with a hard look.
Epsilon- of course I am, I just wanted to stop by on my way to work with Norman and cook you guys some breakfast. Why the long face Beta? Beta stood there and looked at Epsilon with sad eyes and told him he was worried about Dug and Alpha.
Beta- I am officially worried about those two, they have not called us since Monday night, and I am worried something happened. Epsilon took his chef hat off and told Beta to follow him back to the blimp. Epsilon led Beta on the second floor where the control room was and com control. Several monitors were on the wall and Beta looked stunned and shocked.
Beta- oh my god, what in the world how did master get all this technology?! Beta walked up to the setup and started searching through all the data that has been sent the last couple of days. Beta saw everything that Dug and Alpha had sent the last couple of days, the truth about the wolves, the weapon was a psychosis machine designed to put the world in a mind control and corrupt and manipulate humanity. Then Beta saw a blueprint with a robot on it. It said Omnidroid V11.
Beta- What the heck is that thing? It looks like a killer robot or something. Epsilon walked over and looked at the blueprints with Beta,
Epsilon- I have no idea what that is, but it must be important because they would not have sent this to us. Suddenly Beta’s communicator went off, it was Delta,
Delta- Beta, you and Epsilon better get back here, master Carl he does not sound well, I am scared he is coughing his head off. Beta and Epsilon sprinted down to the main floor and ran down the bridge entrance and made their way back outside. It was a little lighter now the sun would be coming up any minute. Beta and Epsilon ran through the door way at the same time, causing them to get stuck.
Beta- Get out of the way Epsilon!
Epsilon- What are you doing, why did this even happen, Get your bulling ball head out of my side! Epsilon pulled as hard as he could and broke free. Beta sprinted inside and went straight for Carl’s room. Carl was hunched over his bed with a trash can in front of him!
Beta- Master! What is going on are you ok?! The big Rottweiler walked over and sat down next to Carl and but his giant head on his lap. Carl coughed again, sounding terrible.
Carl- I am sick Beta, I have been sick for a long time. I have been hiding it because I don’t want to alarm the other dogs or patients. I know I should tell the others but I will tell you, close the door. Beta did as he was told and closed the door and sat back down next to Carl. Carl continued, ‘I have stage four cancer Beta, I have been fighting this for 9 months but it only has gotten worse. I have done every treatment and the doctors can’t remove the sickness. It has spread and now I have only a few weeks left, maybe a few months, the longest they said was a year. So I wanted you to know first Beta. DO NOT TELL THE OTHERS YET! I need to tell them myself. I have had a blast with you guys and I truly want to spend the remaining time with you guys fight free. Beta wanted to howl, but Carl said no.
Beta- Master, why didn’t you hust tell us when you were diagnose with it? So Dug and Alpha don’t know and they are in South America trying to fight evil, when they should be here with you, we need to tell them. Carl jerked Beta and said angerly,
Carl- NO BETA! I do not want them to know yet, they already have a lot on their plate, they don’t need this added to the list. As he said list he had another cough attack and walked out the room and went into the dining room. Beta watched as Carl slanted and missed the chair and fell on the floor.
Beta- Oh my god, MASTER! Are you ok, please let me help you up! Beta rushed over and helped Carl get up. The other patients came running out of their rooms and the other dogs woke up and came to assist Beta. Wilson the leader of the ther patients came and sat next to Carl.
Wilson- My goodness old timer, are you ok? That was a hard hit on the floor. Carl sat in his chair grabbing his side. He hurt it when he fell, when he missed the chair trying to sit down. Beta just stared deeply at Carl ready to catch him if something else happened.
Carl- I am having a ruff time everybody, I just had a moment that’s all. He turned and looked at Beta and put his index finger on his mouth, meaning don’t spill the beans of what really was going on. Beta looked at Carl with Concern and just listened to the conversation with the other elders.
Wilson- You know everybody, I really am glad we are all up because we have a special guest with us this morning Mr Norman! He is a five star chef at Norman’s palace and hold the award sixth year in the row for best restaurant in Los Angeles. Norman was cheered on by everyone at the table. He was very happy to hear all the happy customers and supporters. Epsilon came out with the rolling cart and brought out everyone’s breakfast. The cart contained grits, eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, and biscuits. Everyone dug in as they all talked about their lives and all the past events that happened. When it came time for Carl to present all the dogs joined in the conversation and sat in a row by the entrance listening hard.
Carl- Well when I was a boy I had a childhood hero known as Charles F. Muntz he was a famous explorer and had many successful findings. Well when I met the love of my life, Ellie, she and I wanted to go meet the one we idled for many, many years. Well Last year I made that dream a reality when I tied the balloons up to my old house and floated away. I made my way to Paradise Falls with a kid named Russell, who I have not seen for a while. I really do miss him a lot. He and I made it to Paradise Falls and we were greeted with three evil dogs, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Rolling his head to the interested dogs.
Beta- yeah, when Master Carl first met us, we were the dogs owned by Charles Muntz. We were on a mission to capture a rare bird and we didn’t capture it. So that is when we led him to our hideout and that is where he met our old master. That is where we had our clash and this good man became our new master. We all love him very much. The entire room filled with cheers and everyone ate their breakfast and had a great morning.
Meanwhile:
Dug was outside picking some eatable berries with Gordon, The sun was shining brightly over the hillside, It was early morning and the sunrise was beautiful. Gordon and Dug went back in the brightly lit room and started making some breakfast. Alpha, on the other hand, was still fast asleep. He was snoring loudly in the other room and Gordon was giggling.
Gordon- Does Alpha always sleep like that? I tell you I could not get to sleep because of his loud snoring. Dug just no hemust have been in a very good sleep. Gordon went into the other room. Alpha was laying on his side, his legs stretched out and was snoring still.
Gordon yelled- ALPHA, TIME TO GET UP! Then he roared. Alpha jumped in the air frightened by what he just heard. He sneered at Gordon then stretched out. Alpha did not want to get up yet but he was now awake. He walked half deadly into the main part of the giant room in the cave and walked right in the suns light. His eyes were blinded by the bright light shining in the sky.
Alpha- So, boys what is on the mission for today? I am having a wonderful vacation here. This is actually not a bad spot to have a vacation Gordon. Gordon started making noises then said,
Gordon- This is not a vacation Alpha, what are you talking about? You and Dug are here on a special mission to destroy call of the wild, and that is what you are doing this morning. Riley called me from the wolf pack, saying that he is trapped with Wane. Wane wants Riley to launch the sad elite sometime this morning, but is afraid to do it. So, he told me to tell you guys to track his location and it should be easy to find him. Also one more thing before you leave, Jonathon wants to meet with you, he has further instructions on the mission ahead. Good luck boys and I will see you again hopefully before you guys leave. The two dogs said their farewells and made their way outside in the bright happy morning. The trees illustrated their bright leaves and looked very happy as the wind blew through them. Dug and Alpha ventured down the path until they came to a dirt trail, which led back around the cave and to the hillside. Jonathon’s camp was not that far away. Suddenly Dug and Alpha saw a flash of light go into the sky. They knew it was coming from the weapon.
Dug- um, Alpha…..that does not look good. Did you see that flash of light?
Alpha- Yes, I sure did Dug. We better meet with Jonathon pronto and get our objectives and head for it before they launch it. Alpha led Dug to the entrance of Jonathon’s cave. They heard a boom sound, and another flash of light shot up in the sky. Jonathon was sitting at his workstation putting something together. It looked like a system bug or something. Jonathon was doing some coding on his computer and turned around and saw the two dogs standing there waiting for their assignment.
Jonathon- Alright boys here are your ear pieces. I fixed a couple bugs in them, so you should not have any problems with communication. Second, this is a homemade virus this will corrupt the system of that weapon that they are about to launch. You will sneak in there and you will plant this bug on the CPU itself. That weapon is computerized so this will fry everything. It will probably blow it up. So this bug will be planted and when they hit the launch button, the bug will overload the CPU and blow up the system from the inside, and they will have nothing. It is a perfect plan. Get in there plant the bug, then haul your butts out of there and wait for the fireworks.
Dug and Alpha accepted and left the camp with the tools they needed for the mission. Alpha turned on his tracker and was now tracking Riley’s position. The beep tone was beeping very slowly, which means they had quite a ways to go. They cut through several sets of bushes and streams until the beeping started getting faster.
Alpha- We are almost there Dug come on I think he is this way. The beeping got faster and faster until a solid beep tone could be heard. Alpha turned off his tracker and he and Dug made their way toa set of bushes. Beyond it was the courtyard where all the wolves were standing. The weapon had already been started up it was ready to be launched. Riley could be seen standing next to Raugh and Wane.
Dug- oh no! why is he stuck out there with all those wolves Alpha. He is setting himself up for trouble I can feel it. Alpha nudged Dug on his chest,
Alpha- shut-up Dug, you are going to give us away. Just sit there until it is time to go out, you hear me? Dug said yes and did as he was told. The wolves were ready for a speech by Cole who was standing at the base entrance.
Cole- listen everyone, in a few moments My good buddy Riley has offered to kick off this extinction day, in few moments the world will be, as we know it, in my control. I hope everyone is ready, because we are about to make hisrory boys! The wolves all howled in praise and watched as Cole went inside. Ralph was bitting his tongue several times he shoved Riley on the ground and made his way to Wane.
Ralph- Wane why does this idiot get to be the one to launch this weapon? Nobody likes him and yet he has the honor, what is this?! Wane rolled his eyes at Ralph and told him to back down. Ralph said no and Wane grabbed his collar and pulled it hard.
Wane- Look here Ralph you question me again and that will be your life I said Riley has that call and that is how it will be, understand me?! Ralph bit his lip and walked back and sat down. Wane opened the entrance door and looked behind him and warned the pack,
Wane- If anyone lays a paw on Riley, you will face me afterwards, you know what I speak of. If you all want to challenge me then beat up Riley, we will see what happens. Wane walked up the entrance door and closed the door behind him. Ralph walked up savagely to Riley and grabbed his neck. He forcibly punched him in his stomach multiple times and shoved him on the ground. One of the other wolves joined in, Ralph picked up Riley and flung him around like a rag doll and threw him hard on the ground. Ralph savagely punched Riley multiple times until he made him sick. Riley vomited all over the ground and was shaking badly. Ralph Grabbed Riley from behind and pulled his collar tight trying to choke him!! The other wolves backed away as they knew what Ralph was trying to do.
Ralph- If Wane is not going to kill you I will!! And pulled harder. Then clawed him in the back several times. Riley started seeing stars and the light was getting dim!! Wane came back outside and saw what was happening. The other wolves were scared as they saw wane in the doorway. Wane went back inside, when he came back out he brought Cole with him, Cole pumped his shotgun and fired at Ralph, Ralph threw Riley hard on the ground and he fell out clod. He was not dead because Coles shot gun had sleeping darts not actual ammo. Dug and Alpha sat in the bushes frozen their eyes wide open and their mouths to their chest as they watched the scene. Cole stayed at the entrance holding his shot gun while Wane walked up to the other wolves who were frozen in their tracks. He had a furious face on as he smiled and walked down the line of wolves. He went over to help Riley who was badly hurt. Wane lifted him up. Riley had blood coming from his face and a black eye. Wane grew severely angry and spun around so fast like a tornado, he daggered the other wolves with his eyes and they all coward to the ground.
Wane- This will be the only time that I will say this too you guys, y’all better listen to me good and clearly when I say this. I will not say this again, If anyone of you touches Riley one more time, I personally guarantee, that the one who does they will no longer be among the living. I am tired of you guys jumping at me for treating Riley different. He is different he had a tuff life before he came here. Riley does not know any better. He can’t help himself, and when you attack him, you not only hurt him, but you are hurting me.
The wolves understood every word and Wane winked at Cole saying everything was cool. Cole walked over to sleeping Ralph and picked up his body and carried him back inside. Riley stood up and thanked Wane for the cover. Wane told everyone to go inside for a minute to refocus Cole led the wolves inside and the last wolf closed the door behind him. It was Dug and Alpha’s chance to infiltrate the weapon. They snuck around the weapons base and opened the door that protected the system’s motherboard. Alpha got on his earpiece and got a hold of Jonathon,
Alpha- We are in Jonathon, we are planting the bug now and we will retreat once it has been planted. Jonathon confirmed and the two dogs continued working. Alpha spliced two wires from the board and clipped them on to the bug. Closing the door Dug and Alpha ran back to the bushes to watch the wolves come back outside for the launch. Wane and suffering Riley led the wolves to the weapon and sat at the base. Wane ordered Riley to pull the leaver and watch as the beam of light shot to the sky creating an uplink with the satellite. Riley pulled down the leaver and the system started overloading immediately
System- Error, error, system breach detected, error, error. Multiple system errors detected, power overload ammonite. The device started glowing around the edges and got bright. Wane told the wolves to take cover and they did. Call of the wild exploaded on the inside and created a burst into the air. Than an explosion as the device blew apart into many pieces, the top of the device came crashing down hard and landed sideways in the courtyard. Call of the wild was now destroyed and Dug and Alpha’s mission was complete. They watched as Cole screamed his head off.
Cole- Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! My weapon, its destroyed! What on earth happened to it. He looked at the wolves who were all shocked by what they just witnessed. Cole went over and looked at what was left of the junk pile. Wane walked up to Cole and sat down next to him. Wane looked towards the bushes and knew it was Alpha who did it. Cole stood up furious. He now wanted a war with the dogs now. Cole looked at Wane and said to hunt down the dogs and bring them back to the base as soon as possible. Wane accepted the mission. He asked Charlie and Ray to join him for the hunt. Dug and Alpha retreated and ran back through the woods with the sound of Howling following them. They eventually made their way back to Jonathon’s camp and hid in the corner. Both dogs were out of breath. Jonathon turned around in shock as he asked what was wrong.
Alpha- The wolves know we just blew up the weapon, they are onto us now and we need to leave now.
Jonathon- So, the transmitter is now destroyed so they can’t make a signal to the satellite. Great job boys, mission accomplished. They heard snarling wolves coming through the bushes. Jonathon told them to hide in the corner. Dug and Alpha did so. Wane and the two other wolves came strolling into the cave.
Wane- Jonathon Muntz, it is so nice to see you my old friend. How has your life been without your brother. Well it is a shame that he died, because now here you are alone in this jungle with us to deal with. Where is Dug and Alpha?
Jonathon just stood there not knowing what to do. He looked at the table and saw the map. He glanced at Wane and said something that almost got him in trouble.
Wane- I know about your parents, the reason you are the way you are because you witnessed their death. Honestly I will tell you that Jeremy did not do it. Charles told me that they tripped a trap and it was an accident.
Wane jumped at Jonathon and got vicious. He walked Jonathon into the corner and was showing his teeth at him. He did not ever want to hear the truth from Jonathon. He stood their showing his teeth and his blue eyes staring into his green eyes.
Wane- Don’t you ever mention my parents again. You are crossing your lines with me human. I suggest you stop now while you are ahead. Jonathon told them to scram; the wolves backed out the cave and went back outside. Wane looked behind his shoulder and smiled as he left and disappeared behind a set of bushes. Jonathon told the dogs it was safe and he gathered some supplies and shut down his workstation.
Alpha- Hey master, where are you going, you leaving the jungle? Jonathon turned and smiled at them and said no. He was meeting with sunset village for dinner tonight. Alpha and Dug wanted to go with him.
Alpha- Master, can we tag along with you and have dinner with the villagers? We can tell tell them about the success we had with the destruction of call of the wild. Jonathon said of course and the three of them ventured in the late afternoon jungle. Jonathon led the dogs back down the trail they came from originally. About fifteen minutes later they came to the back entrance to Sunset village and entered through the gate. Everyone was out in the opening celebrating. There was a cookout going on, fireworks going off in the air and loud music playing. The village was now at peace. The call of the wild was no longer a threat on the village. There were many people in bathing suits walking to the beach about to have a beach party. Kids and many adults were at the picnic tables eating an early dinner. Some people had hot dogs, some had burgers and some had ribs. People all over were having a blast eating, playing and socializing.
Alha- awe look at all these humans having so much fun master, I really could use a hot dog I am starving. Jonathon took Dug and Alpha too the grill and Ronnie was grilling.
Jonathon- Hey Ronnie, how’s it going buddy? Say, can I have a hot dog please for my canine friend?
Ronnie- uh, you must be the Alpha that we all know, yeah? I am Ronnie I am the chef here in the village and people from all over come to our village now and celebrate how amazing it really is. Look you guys must stick around for the killer sunset on the water. It is breath taking and you guys must dine tonight. Alpha looked out the corner of his eye and saw Fernando entering his tent. Alpha did not like what he was seeing. He separated himself from the group and approached Fernando’s tent. He looked back at the others and they were still talking away with Ronnie. Alpha entered the tent ad started sniffing around. He did not like that the latch door was open to the bunker. Then out of nowhere Alpha gets slammed to the ground and someone jumps on his back and squeezes his neck!
Fernando- ALPHA! What a pleasant surprise, you come to see what I have, you going to steal it like your girlfriend almost did? Listen here, I know you did it, didn’t you! Well your time is up Alpha because Cole will now know the truth of why his weapon failed today. Fernando shoved Dug to the wall and held him there with one hand, and in the other had a radio.
Fernando- Hey Cole you will not guess who stopped by the tent just now, your old pal Alpha.
Cole- What are you talking about Fernando, That dog does not matter to me!
Fernando- oh but he does, He and Dug visited you guys earlier today and put a stop to call of the wild. Alphais right here he will tell you he did it! Tell him that you did it! Alpha had no choice he told Cole that he and Dug destroyed the transmitter. There was a long silence and Cole finally came back and said,
Cole- Alpha you and that pink gold retriever are dead, you will not leave Paradise Falls without a fight. Wane and the other wolves will be ready to intercept you Friday morning before you leave. Oh, and one more thing, the wolves are hunting for you right now, I want to talk to you and Dug before we have our little takeoff, alright well see real soon Doberman. Fernando smiled and laughed with an evil laugh. He went down into the bunker and Alpha followed him. Alpha was not pleased with him. He wanted answers and he knew a little what had been going on so far this week.
Alpha- So Fernando, you assign us this special mission for what, all you have done all week is cause trouble for me Dug, and our master Jonathon. You are setting us up for a battle that quite frankly the other dogs don’t need to be a part of. Why are you doing this to us Fernando? I thought we were all friends here. You know, I was telling Dug when we arrived Monday how sad I was to hear about your family and the devastation that those wolves did to this village. Now here you are, tearing it down by launching call of the wild on your own home!
Fernando- wrong! I live in Boston this isn’t my home I don’t live here, oh and you will love this part. I was never married. I never had children or anything of that matter, I just wanted to see how weak you really were. I must say you were one of the worst victims I had to show that artwork to.
Alpha grew very angry, he started growling and showing his teeth at Fernando, Alpha started walking up to his table and he laid in Fernando hard,
Alpha- You son of a gun, you are a true skunkbag! You lied to me and Dug about your family, Do you have any idea how bad we mourned for you?! Dug and I were so sorry about what you were exposed to. Now you are telling me that it was all a lie! You are truly the lowest human I ever met and you will face your time, it’s coming soon!
Fernando- I wouldn’t do that Alpha if I was you, you do not want to go down that road with me canine. I promise you, you will not like what you find. You should stop while you are ahead. Alpha barked at Fernando and showed his teeth at him.
Alpha- bring it on Fernando, me and Dug will be ready for a fight. Now I know you were involved with call of the wild.
Fernando- that’s not all I was involved with. Alpha turned around and walked back to Fernando ready to bite his leg.
Alpha- what did you say?!
Fernando- That is not all I was involved with Alpha!! Get your ears checked.
Alpha- what do you mean by that Fernando, is there something you wish to tell me?! Fernando walked over to the latch and told Alpha to leave before he called the wolves. Alpha walked up and Fernando said back,
Fernando- you will find out soon enough dog, soon enough, and he closed the latch behind him. Alpha now knew that the whole mission was a setup, revenge for Cole and a chance for the wolves to have it out with the remaining dogs. Alpha had to tell Jonathon and Dug the news. He left the tent and came back out into the happy afternoon. The sun was almost on the horizon. ‘how long was I down in that bunker’? Alpha thought he did not find Dug or Jonathon at the picnic tables, so he decided to go search the beach. Alpha walked through the now yellow sand because the sun was getting ready to set. He finally found Jonathon and Dug at the water. Dug was playing with a Frisbee and Jonathon was chilling on a lounge chair drinking a beer. Alpha made his way to them and wanted to share some news. Dug rammed right into Alpha trying to catch the Frisbee and did not mean to hit Alpha. Alpha snarled at Dug and was mad at him.
Alpha- Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugg! What are you doing?! Are you blind you did not see me standing there? Dug tilted his head and gave the Frisbee to a villager. She was looking at Alpha and pointed to another dog on the hill. The dog came running down and it was Britney! Alpha started drulling a little as he started blushing when she came.
Britney- Hey sweetheart, I came down because I heard you and Dug were oh and I brought Riley. The villagers started screaming and Britney stopped them from yelling.
Britney- Stop, its ok he is not a bad wolf, he is a good wolf and he loves people. Its ok he won’t you. The villagers walked with caution to the wolf and started petting his head. They all started liking Riley. Riley liked all the attention he was getting, because back at his base, no one gave him love. Everyone was swimming in the clear water at the beach, building sand castles with their children, burying people in the sand. It was a true blast for everyone.
Raphael came strolling down the hill from the village and made his way to Jonathon and the the canines
Raphael- You know guys, I can’t tell you the last time this village was able to enjoy itself. You guys saved us from a terrible fate by those monsters in the woods, thank you. We are ever in your debt. A few hours went by and the sun was now setting on top of the water. It was the most prettiest thing you could ever see. Finally, the sun disappeared behind the water and it was now dusk. Another day has gone by and Dug and Alpha started realizing it.
Dug- Alpha I don’t want to go home, I want to stay here with you and Riley and Britney forever, you are like the brother I never had Alpha. I know we had our differences in the past, but we got over that and now look at us. Alpha got teary eyed when when Dug said this, he had no idea this is how Dug felt about him all this time.
Alpha- You mean that Dug? You actually love spending time with me and you think I am your brother? Dug shook his head yes. Alpha grabbed Dug and hugged him and licked his face. You got to watch it with Alpha’s kisses they were a bit slobbery. Alpha’s slobber was all over Dug’s face.
Dug- I thought I had a slobbery lick, I think Dobermans have worse than we do. Alpha smiled and shook his head yes. It started getting dark and they were being called for dinner in the great hall. Jonathon led the canines back up the hill and back into the large tent on the far right. They all entered a huge tent with tables going all around the edges and in the middle. It looked like a giant cafeteria. Jonathon and the canines went to the table directly in the middle and sat and waited to be served, the room was highly noisy and people everywhere. When the food came the room was filled with forks, and knives cutting the meat on everyone’s plate. The meal lasted for an hour and Raphael stood on a stool to give an announcement
Raphael- Thank you everyone for coming out today, we really appreciate the supporting communites around our village, and we hope to see you guys again, drive safe and male it home inone peace, good night. Jonathon picked up all the paper plates and walked to the exit and threw them all in the trash. They four canines came back out. It was night time, Jonathon Was leading them back into the woods. They saw people getting on boats and heading back to the mainland. They entered through the gate at the rear of the village and made their way through the dark jungle, Jonathon asked one of the dogs to activate their flashlight so they could see. Alpha turned his flashlight on and lit up the dark trail. Jonathon was impressed with the flashlight. They came to the tree where the chopper was still laying on the ground.
Alpha- I hate that thing, it almost tried to kill us when we first arrived. I don’t know why it is even out here that is not our trap; Riley is that your family’s trap? Riley looked at the machine and shook his head; he had never seen it before, though he really never saw much in his pack. Britney looked at it hard and said that she never saw it either.
Britney- I think it has got to be that Fernando guy, he has been sneaking around this jungle all week, oh and I followed him last night to his tent. He has enough explosives, weapons, and ammo to take down an army. I don’t know what his attentions are but I don’t trust him. He has got to be behind this attack and the trap systems. Britney and Riley said their farewells and said goodnight and went off in the opposite direction. Alpha and Riley followed Jonathon back in his camp and were ready to hit the sack. Jonathon pulled out a big bed for Dug and Alpha to sleep on. They curled up and went to sleep. Jonathon went to his workstation and took his glasses off and turned off the light on his desk. He went into the backroom and put on his pajamas and got into his bed and went to sleep. The night was filled with owls, and crickets, and the happy frogs nearby. It was a peaceful night.
