The idea behind this was that he's let himself go on all the offerings the locals have been leaving for him. He hadn't quite intended to let himself get this chubby and is startled when he hears something behind him. Worried that he's been caught stuffing himself by one of the people who look up to him, he anxiously looks around. But it turns out to be two little batbirds hoping for leftovers!

He is gorgeous, thank you very much for this amazing pencil art! Really brought him to life, I can totally feel him in all his adorably chubby glory, the skin and the impression of his (quite ample) substance filling it is absolutely spot-on, I particularly love the pose and anatomy of his hind legs, those powerful muscles straining to carry all that bulk resulting from his careless indulgence. Well, he is a dragon, he can, but seems like even dragons cannot ignore the way these things tend to go, and now the poor thing is pretty much embarrassed of what he had done to himself! Not that it would stop him stuffing himself silly still, though :)
