The Khaleko are a species of humanoid lizards that share a resemblance to Red Eyed Crocodile Skinks on Earth. The average height of the species is around 6 feet tall and have dark brown scales that cover a majority of their bodies, a white underbelly and chin, and a Reddish-Orange color around their eyes however there are some subspecies of the Khaleko that wildy vary in coloration and inner functionalities of their bodies. One such subspecies is one called the Ice Blood Blue Eyed Khaleko (IBEK’s for short) that take on a dark blue appearance with light blue around their eyes with a light purple coloration on their bellies and are only found in one place in the galaxy, an ice world in the Khaleko’s home solar system. Another subspecies is one that shares the same body color as their more common normal Khaleko but do not have a Reddish-Orange color around their eyes, instead these Khaleko have splotches of yellow over their bodies and have vestigial venom glands in their lower jaws that make their heads noticeably wider than and IBEK or normal Khaleko’s heads.

The Khaleko were discovered in 2260 when the SSA had unknowingly entered Khaleko space and nearly drove several ships into a hidden minefield before the Khaleko contacted the ships to get them to stop. After this incident it was discovered that the Dorogoba had made a small partnership with the Khaleko, trading excess materials for weapons.

The Khaleko do not have an understanding of stealth, instead opting in for a more loud and explosive means of combat, using high caliber weapons that can fire explosives at a target.
