It does look adorable. I only hope those little circles are painted on or filled in if they were cut into the wood. I imagine it would be difficult to properly clean the food out of such small grooves without a stiff brush or something.

LOL. This is cute. I'm kind of the same way with my cats, uh, felines. If it's a feline, I'm interested. I love them so much that I create characters and creatures that are loosely based on felines. (Of course, you can see all of them in my gallery.)

my sister lives in the London suburbs, and she has urban foxes living in her back yard...

Lucky gal. I'm in central Arizona and I get coyotes, bobcats, some grey foxes and an occasional mountain lion in the yard - live on the edge of the Bradshaw Mountains. The 'yotes are the ones you see and hear the most - nightly singing up and down the street and alley. I tend to refer to the critters as the Night Neighbors. They live in the neighborhood but you only seen them at night as a rule. I get home from work around Midnight so I've been introduced to a lot of them.

that is just so cool... I'm in Florida and on a canal. During mating season, the gators really make a fuss. They sound a lot like Bull Frogs, unless I am mistaken...

Have you ever seen any bassarisks/ringtails? They're the state small mammal of Arizona, IIRC, and hecca cute, too!

Seen a couple in AZ, had one run across me in Texas on a turkey hunt years ago. Brownwood/Brady area. Was full in full camo and was sitting with my back to a big old oak. Ringtail came bounding up carrying a rodent in its mouth, ran up my legs and chest and climbed the tree to its den in a hollow area. I was sitting there going wtf just ahppend when it came down and ran over me again. Was bringing food to its young. Cute thing. Have an Audubon lithograph of a Ringtail. Start off with the Classics by Beatrix Potter and Kenneth Grahame. I still have fond memories of the Gentleman with Foxy whiskers offering J. Puddle Duck a safe place to lay her eggs and of Mole, Rat, Badger and Toad handling the take over of Toad Hall.
