Just to be clear, there are no “monsters” in the woods of Bereft Land, but Frederick thinks there is. You might be scared of him but remember more often than not he’s scared too. It’s worse when others dismiss his fears because they aren’t real, and even worse that out in the woods there’s no-one to turn to.
Sorry for tormenting my characters again, I’m self projecting my own experiences onto them to help me grow as a person and an artist lol. This rendition of “Frederick gets lost in the woods oh no” was inspired by the song Mowgli’s Road by Marina and the Diamonds. I feel I can relate to that song for personal reasons. Also makes me imagine Frederick running through the forest thinking he’s being chased by a bunch of singing spoons trying to attack him, so there’s that too.
