Setting is on a stretch of Highway 54 between Vaughn, New Mexico and the hometown of Pastura. It is on a July night in the year 1960 at around 2:30 am.
Two teenage ferrets (both age 16) are out on a date way beyond the time their parents told them to be back home.
The car is a brand new 1960 Chevy Impala belonging to the male teen ferret's dad.
The young ferrets are in a hurry to get home, and for good reason...The male ferret and his fiancee are out really late...In fact, being out past 2:30 am is not going to go over well with the parents considering the parents of both ferret teens told them to be in no later than 10:00 pm.
The male is driving Daddy's brand new Chevy about as fast as it can go, so he and his fiancee can get home sooner...At 120 mph, the broken lines on the road were looking like white dots flashing by, and the power line poles sort of looked like a picket fence.
The sound of the car was about like the 15 seconds following the chosen time in the video link.

1960 was in a day and time before cell phones were around, and being out of change to use a pay phone to let their parents know they're okay, it didn't dawn on them to call collect.
A while ago before they passed through Duran, a song had played on the car's radio;

Of course, after they past through Duran and back on the open highway on their way home to Pastura, another song was playing on the car's radio.
And wouldn't you know it. It was a song that reminded them they'll be in trouble when they get home tonight

Presently in the main pics, as they were high balling it at 120 mph along that stretch of Highway 54 past Vaughn before arriving home in Pastura, this song was plying on the car's radio;

They were counting their selves lucky if it wasn't going to be way past 2:30 am by the time he dropped her of at her parent's house, and by the time he got back to his parent's house.
There will surely be lectures from the parents that night. And perhaps the next date for those two ferret teens will be with a chaperone...
...The male teen ferret wasn't about to dare admit he was driving Daddy's brand new Chevy at speeds around 120 mph in a hurry to get home.
While drawing this, There were four songs I looped for inspiration. The songs are not actually from the era around 1960, rather they are 1990s doo-wop revival songs;
