The Trekaspaza are a species of serpentine humanoid reptiles. The average length of the Trekaspaza is around 16 feet, however some cases have reported them growing much longer, especially when in a favorable climate with readily available food. Their bodies are oftentimes a mustard yellow color with brown arms and white splotches dotted along their bodies
This species is entirely female and breed asexually in the form of self cloning, which the offspring, unlike most self cloning breeding methods of reproduction, will produce a unique set of genes as if the had bred with a partner, usually producing 3-4 offspring if the climate is favorable and the mother had been well fed during the egg producing process. This species is also able to breed with human males, and while the offspring is biologically related to the father, no physical traits are shared between them with the offspring visually being a near identical clone of the mother, with some variation in scale color patterns
Nearly 30-40 years after the species was discovered and became a part of the SSA, several mutations had been discovered in the species, one of the mutations being the change in the amount of eggs laid in a sitting changing from 3-4 going to up to nearly 12 eggs. Many scientists chalked this up to an over abundance of resources at their disposal by being a part of the SSA’s recuperation and recovery efforts. Another mutation that can affect the Trekaspaza is the formation of a cobra like hood on their necks during the incubation process of their egg stage, but this mutation is not limited to just a cobra like hood as it has been recorded this mutation also changed the Trekaspaza’s saliva to one that is a very minor poison. While not fatal to humans the poison can elevate one's heart rate and cause uncontrollable sweating if consumed. Due to these occurrences this mutation has been labeled as the Viper Mutation.
This species was discovered in 2160 when the SSA were looking to settle another planet within their borders. Discovering the planet, the SSA quickly sent a colony ship to the planet to settle it, however were met with complications as one of the colony ships escorts had been destroyed and while the planet was being scouted, roughly 30 of the serpentine species were brought aboard the colony ship just as the colony ship was going to leave the system. Several months after this incident the SSA returned to the system to find the Trekaspaza’s home planet utterly destroyed by an asteroid, the planet undergoing a violent series of volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, earthquakes, and blizzards all over the planet.
